Oh, I think we know the line-up, YL....and surely you already have some favorites. Care to name a few?

    - - - Updated - - -

Name all the "logical reasons"........I have one, but you naturally won't accept it. But love to hear yours.

BTW, as soon as the GOP ACTUALLY NOMINATES Allen West or Mia Love or ANY African-American to either the Presidential or even Vice-Presidential slot....

you can claim it to the GOP's "credit".

So you don't take Dr. Carson seriously either?

Remember, it was YOU, not me, who equated the two people. Unfortunately, now , by doing that?.....you've just said that Dr. Carson shouldn't be taken seriously.

Micketto, we both know where your post went "fantasy"....

Of course, you won't commit to supporting Carson for the Nomination....nor will you say exactly why. Something else we both know the reason behind. :)

It's you that said I equated the two people...not me.
You want to paint Carson as a fringe kook and then have conservatives hug him so you can then mock them. Not all that mature but when I turn the tables on you with Warren, your distancing yourself from her tells me that even you realize how out of the mainstream she is.

    Look at what you said?

If Carson is NOT a "fringe kook"....then there would be no way to mock conservatives for supporting him.

Ergo, you have now put out the idea that you fear being mocked for supporting Carson.....because you believe he IS a "fringe kook".

Weirdly, the more you try to "defend" him (or dodge saying whether or not you'd support him and why).....the WORSE your apparent opinion of the man is exhibited.

That's your motivation. He is merely exposing what you as a partisan left-wing agit-propper are doing. Though it's interesting how you always leave out the part of someone's quote you have no response to. How cowardly.

He's certainly a fringe kook to you! He's said a few things (if true) that would cause me to hesitate to support him (depending on which republican he's up against) but overall I find him eminently rational and sensible. At any rate there is NO candidate I have ever seen that I would back 100% so your whole little house of cards logic falls down no matter what.
Let's face it: the left will smear ANY candidate from the republicans and try and make them seem extreme. It's bull sh*t but it's what they do.

    Nice try, Socrates.

Says the poster who has yet to defend Elizabeth Warren at all.

It's always interesting that you NEVER say if you'd support Dr. Carson for the GOP Nomination....and why???

That's my business. You've still yet to make one single comment of support for Elizabeth Warren.

    ROFLMAO :D

Yes, Yosh....better keep those things that Carson has said that would "cause you to hesitate in supporting him"....secret, huh?

Otherwise, you might seem like you are calling him a "fringe kook"....right? :)

I already have, repeating post #30...

West/Love both lost elections in 2010, being labeled "Token". West would suffer for many of the same reasons as Carson and Love has only been mayor of a small town. Both for now are otherwise well qualified for Local/State Politics, possibly even for Cabinet Post (including Carson). Name recognition and articulation are very important at the national level. As for VP, considering Palin, people simply won't vote a ticket, based on the #2.

Shucks, dunno. Maybe they don't have your insights. Try some Dems; I'll bet they'd be on board in a NY minute.

You tried to use West and Love as some kind of "cover" for the national GOP...that they would support an African-American for President or even Veep....

yet neither were ever seriously considered for the slots...and the two African-American men who have run for the Nomination (Alan Keyes, Herman Cain) while getting a lot of VERBAL support.....didn't see it actually manifest in the voting booth's privacy.

Here's a bet with you....20 years. No sooner than that will the GOP even pick an African-American for even Vice-President. The reason? A goodly portion of the GOP has to die off of old age.

I think we know what he problem is....

they can't support Carson, because he's obviously prone to some "unusual" remarks (even Yosh admits that). Plus they know he'll never win the Nomination and they don't like to be on a losing side.

but they can't oppose Carson, because they'll have to CLAIM to "love and support" him....rah-rah him when he does some Obama zinger in the Debates.....and talk about how "great a guy he was" when he finally bows out of the Primaries.

No. Really, I'd seriously, totally just LOVE for him to win the nomination of the Republican Party because I think it would demonstrate without one iota of doubt just how totally crazy Republicans are and would very likely guarantee a 50 state sweep by Dems.

I won't because I assume I won't agree 100% with every view he's ever held (as it's never happened before with anyone) and I'm not about to go scouring through his past comments to please you. You are hardly worth the effort it might take and as far as I know, he hasn't laid out a comprehensive list of issues a candidate might compile anyway.
And lastly I'm not about to be put on the defensive by a cut and paste troll under any circumstances. I have no intention of justifying my views to
you as it's really not necessary.

What's really sad is that all you far right wingers holed up in your Fox New eliminated media caves all really believe this nonsense.

Ben Carson is just another smart guy who knows how to walk the talking points and appeal to your fears. He'll do it until he thinks he's made as much as he can make out of it and then go away.

Most right wingers don't know when they're being conned. And after it's too late, they all pretend it didn't happen.

Ah, the wisdom of the world weary cynic never gets old...unless you pay attention to this often repeated bilge.
ALL politicians are playing the suckers for all their worth, if you want to look at things that way.
Just look at our most recent golf playing, war making, $17 trillion dollar president who spies on the public and press while he talks about bringing the nation together. I thank God I wasn't sucker enough to vote for him and his snake oil.

Allen West was getting a lot of talk for a future VP pick and Love was a "Tea Party" favorite. The only comparison, I failed to show, was the "token" label, I feel all conservative blacks receive, past or in the future. I don't understand your attitude toward Cain, Keyes and I'll throw in JC Watts, whom I did support when I lived in Oklahoma. Do you think the GOP voters should promote any candidate, simply because they are a minority? I think that's what happened in 2008 and it hasn't worked out......IMO.

Well, I'm certainly in that "portion" of GOP voters or advocates that you feel, need to die off, being well into my 70's. Keep in mind there are just as many liberals that will be dying off, as well. Regardless, there are many potential black conservative candidates coming up through a ranks, just as there are Asian, Hispanic or women.
