Cholesterol is NOT a fear of mine, I fear too low cholesterol as our bodies NEED IT and brains for sure.

One thing I found in my labs recently and I've been taking Berberine to lower glucose levels and it's done a wonderful job in the year I've been taking Berberine, it's a supplement....yeah one of those god awful natural supplements.

Anyway I found my cholesterol levels came in lower than ever in all the years I've had tests done.... So for you fearing cholesterol and taking those toxic statins...think about Berberine.

So many supplements can and do address other issues.

More on Glucose Monitoring, Blood Sugar and Weight Loss

I just went thru a year of taking Berberine to lower glucose and it came down very nicely from a high in May 2021 of 120 to 84 in June 2022 when I did labs. Lab range is 65-99.

AND, Over 20 lbs dropped off my body, I weigh the lowest I have in mega years. So I'm putting things together and I come up with this connection:

[IMG]Glucose Monitoring, Blood Sugar And Weight Loss: Why It's The KeyBlood sugar and weight loss, what's the connection? Is drinking glucose good or bad during a weight loss progra…January.ai

I am not diabetic and don't want to be. So an FYI to think ohttps://www.january.ai/blog/why-glucose-monitoring-may-be-the-key-to-losing-weight/n.

Good to know. Apparently berberine is in tree turmeric, which is apparently different from turmeric root and turmeric extract, though I can't for the life of me figure out what the difference is...

@ 36 I had a stroke, it took nearly took 9 years to recover 99.98%. That was 17 years ago. I was put on Asasantin, a statin drug. After about 4 years of taking that sh!te, I began to have some type of growth on my head and was tired all the time. I told my GP and got fobbed off that the drug would not have done that. I stopped taking it and the growth reduced and eventually it was gone and I was no longer tired. During that time, I had done my research and found that cholesterol is a naturally occurring substance the body produces to combat inflammation. Statin drugs stop if not, decrease the body's ability to create cholesterol to fight the cholesterol, then in a domino effect, inflammation takes hold and truly damages the affected area. Some foods I hook in on, apples, cinnamon, garlic and ginger assist with thinning the blood. Turmeric, strawberries, blueberries, cherries, oranges, spinach, kale, collards, almonds, walnuts and pineapples are the anti-inflammatories.
I drink and eat the following to reduce/keep in check my cholesterol: green tea, avocado & garlic.
I have never been better eating and knowing this. Don't take my word for it, do your own research and discover it yourself, as I did.

I don't have a cholesterol issue, I KNOW OUR BODY NEEDS IT.... It's just that Berberine I took for a year lowered my c holesterol and I didn't anticipate that. I have a telemed appt with my doc to go over my labs. Many yrs ago a wonderful doc started .checking my homocystein and NOT cholesterol. Remember I'm a lot older than you. My homocystein was elevated and I've been taking supplements to lower homocystein ..... you can read up and familarize yourself with homocycstein.

Boy to have a stroke at 36 things were not good in your body. Talk about a Wake Up Call.

And my miracle is Grape Seed Extract which cleans and thins our blood. 26 yrs taking it. My heart is good and I got on 2 BP meds about 20 yrs ago when my BP was stubborn and I couldn't manage it without the 2 meds. Glad I take them.

A wake up call is an understatement. I smoked and ate poorly, lots of processed foods. I had been trying to quit smoking several times, getting longer each time. But It wasn't enough. I learnt my lesson the hard way and the smoking addiction was erased due to the stroke.

As for my homocysteine, mine is in check by the foods described in my previous post. I am much fussier about what I eat than I did 17 years ago.

The funny thing was, I smoked for 17 years. I wasn't a heavy smoker. Maybe 5/day. I was super fit, freakishly fit in in the army for 14 years served. I can only imagine what I'd have been like without the smokes.

Hardly any of the men in my family went to the military and one uncle who did and I believe he may have had
asthma when he went in, well the Army got him hooked, true most in the military, and he died young as I recall, like early 60's or late 50's..... never quit the cigs,
