You do not need to lecture me about the evils of socialism/ communism. Both of my grandfathers were sent to Siberia by the Russians ( aka communists). One was a small businessman shoe making shops and tailor charged with being a bourgeois capitalist, the other was accused of giving food to Partisans and and being a " land owner" becuse he bought out a couple three failed farms and was successful.

When the Russian communists ( it' redundnt theybwerecall commies) came into Western Ukraine in 1939 they told the people on their filthy scummy Rusun language " sho moiyo toh tvoiyo, sho tviyo to motion" - trnslated from commie talk to a human language " what i your is mine, what is mine is yours". Then they confiscated farms and businesses and stole livestock. Then shot resisters or sent them to Siberia.

Jesus Christ Bernie doesn't support "free stuff." It's simply a different expenditure of taxes. First of all, we need to stop corporate handouts, end citizens united, and stop the massive, massive waste of the military. Funny. I'd say, the very second that we stop having government provide things like defense, that those dollars simply revert back to the citizens who pay the taxes. Given that there wouldn't be a need for those funds, folks should see them back in their own bank accounts. We don't pay for those "common sense things" because no one else agrees with you that they are in fact "common sense".... What is sheer lunacy is believing that folks would simply stand idly by while the government extorts our income on the premise that would pay for such useless overhead....

 

It is common sense to go with single payer. It is common sense to alter the way a lot of government agencies work - for example, child protective services ought to actually assist parents with their funding instead of stealing children and adopting them out - it is common sense to do these things and the majority of americans don't agree with asshattery republican notions of corporatist dick greasing, as we have now.

Bernie is the better choice and will be a moderate, not a fringe psychopath dyed orange.

Healthcare is never free. Riddle me this.

I already pay deductibles, co-pays, taxes, %'s, and premiums. Why not have one single entity handle the entire payment structure. Health insurance is not and never will be a competitive market because profiteering off health is inhumane filth. It's also, in my estimation, an abuse of the constitution.

I pay more out of pocket now than I would with single payer. Remember, single payer is not government run healthcare. It's simply an elimination of health insurance companies. It automatically eliminates government intervention in things like pre-existing conditions, because nothing would be denied - and nor should it.-

As far as education is concerned, we clearly need to drastically change our system. DeVoss is a fraud and a failure. Time for something new.

 

He's a centrist on plenty of issues. He has political dexterity that neither HRC or DJT had. And while he is a democratic socialist, that's far different then the evangelical psychopath we have elected, or the fascist right wing lunatic Hillary would have been.

He's also pro-2nd amendment and against seizing guns. He wants common sense gun control.

Health care is no longer affordable Because bureaucrats started to give it away for free. When we were paying for it with no assistance it was affordable.. and you want to to continue the reason prices continue to rise lol

I already said. I pay co-pays, deductibles, premiums, taxes, and fees into this system already. I am taxed for the healthcare of others. After that I pay for my own. Why not eliminate the premiums, co-pays, deductibles and just ****ing nationalize the system to single payer so it's simply taxed at a lower rate and paid for by the fed and there is no more abuse by insurance companies.

There really is absolutely no reason for insurance companies to exist in the healthcare market, at all.

The prices in health care are rising because:

1. Americans are getting older - the baby boomers are driving prices up because as you get older, omg, you tend to have health problems.

2. Hospital mergers are leveraging a massive amount of bully power at the point of contact, holding insurers hostage to paying higher amounts (and thus billing for them) because these mergers gobble up patient loads and then give the hospitals the power to say "We won't accept your insurance."

3. Americans are getting fatter. The population is obese, grotesque and shallow. This all increases healthcare costs.

4. Republican idiocy that prevents Medicaid/care from bargaining prices, which was specifically designed to push for a dismantling of these programs by proxy. Since their hands are tied, hospitals can and do charge $80 for one Tylenol.

5. Salaries in healthcare are entirely too bloated.
