Barack Obama (and the D.C. Dems.) puts personal & political gain before the best interests of this country all the time.

    Thinks nothing of it.

    Thinks you don't care, either.

Thinks he can do whatever he wants and get away with it.

    Even breaking the law.

    Or violating the Constitution.

    Who could blame him?

No one has stood in his way so far.

'So what has changed?', he must reason.

    But I digress...

Clancy was a terrific writer and storyteller. I was shocked and really saddened to learn of his passing.

    Rest in Peace, Mr. Clancy.

And thank you for many hundreds of hours of information and entertainment!

Sorry to hear of his death, but I thought his books made better movies than they were as just books. As for all the Obama stuff in the OP, kind of a streeeeeetch to tie those things to Tom Clancy's death.

I hear he died after being ill a while. Glad to see Obamacare saving lives. ;)

But joking aside I will deeply miss him. I mostly know him from games he had no part in making. He just gave Splinter Cell an endorsement by putting his name on it but I did have a few of his books.

This is exactly the opposite of how Obama and his minions operate.

And as far as tying Obama's shortcomings in with Clancy's death, the quote (immediately above) speaks to the subject of putting one's own benefit ahead of our country's.

Always look for what you can learn from things going on around you. Especially in bad times. There is a tendency, shared by many of us, to have something figuratively blow up in our faces and then try to walk away from that explosion as quickly as possible and not look back.

But in reality there are lessons still to be learned from those blasts. It's like dislodging tons and tons of rock and then afterwards combing through the rubble to pick up gold nuggets or diamonds.

Clancy's principles stand in stark contrast to Barack Obama's. And many posters here seem to disregard that principle as unimportant.

I'm here to tell you Clancy's attitude displays personal character and is admirable! We shouldn't allow our PRESIDENT to get away with putting partisan politics and his own personal gain ahead of what is best for this country.

I've said for several years now that Obama doesn't love America or respect our foundation and traditions enough to be considered qualified for the job, IMO. And this highlights his shortcomings in that regard.

So, bottom line, I took advantage of a teachable moment by mentioning Obama. It was like picking up a gold nugget upon the explosion of bad feelings...finding something good to come from Clancy's death

    I'm sure he wouldn't mind..

Clancy died too young. He sure could tell a story.
