Sig Sauer sister company is German (or German/Swiss), but the rifle will be made in New Hampshire, and its for military use only. Most likely other manufacturers will produce a civilian version at some point, and it will sell like crazy since Americans have a taste for guns that look like military gear. This happens because this guy was able to buy weapons of war on his 18th birthday. It happened because murderous Republicans have this obsession with arming crazy people and then wondering why these lunatics kill us. I agree that we hold individuals accountable for their actions. I also have said time and time again, social decay is a large factor of violence and criminality.

What policies and agendas have we put forward that increases the likelihood of this type of atrocity and others?

NRA boosts gun sales by claiming Dems are going to ban guns, and people fall for it every time. I was a NRA member, and they'd call me all the time saying things were worse than every before (every month was worse then ever before) and they needed extra donations so could keep my guns. Eventually I canceled my membership, because I don't appreciate being taken for a fool.
