This is definitely buying votes and subsequently increasing inflation. I find it funny they used the term “victims of their own actions” and somehow the loans are predatory, I mean, how?

either way Biden is definitely trying to buy votes. This won’t fix the system it only makes a brat smile and teaches kids to remain kids and never have to be an adult.

Because the tax cuts promised every time by the Republicans have nothing to do with buying votes....

The American higher education system doesn't give the best and brightest equal access.

All other G7 nations have student financial aid programs that give everyone an equal chance to go to university.

Student bailouts are targeted at specific folks and unconstitutional. Tax cuts are constitutional.

Nothing unconstitutional about forgiving predatory loans.

I thought tax cuts are for the rich?

How many votes do the rich have again?

Enough to easily influence American politics.

Surely everyone with any intelligence at all can see clearly that this is nothing but pandering for votes by the Biden admn. in an election year. And it's completely WRONG! Why should a president have the right to just write off billions of dollars in legitimately acquired debt? It stinks to high heaven, but the debt-heavy bums love it and will vote for Democrats because of it if for no other reason. Why is this even legal?

For 50 years, tax cuts have increased the deficit, which must sooner or later be repaid by the people.

And Republicans remain the champions of deficit spending.

While alleviating student debt is a much-needed societal investment in the U.S.

that is simply your opinion. The SCOTUS will have no choice but to overturn these unconstitutional rulings. If you forgive student loans then any loan could be forgiven; not the role of the POTUS to do that.

It is not legal nor constitutional. But, a state AG will need to file suit and it will need to go the SCOTUS.

So the guy who got the most votes in history has to resort to buying votes by eliminating student debt and being Putin's puppet by temporarily ending sanctions on his oil until November. Why can't Biden simply run on his record?

No… the moochers have increased our deficit. The government overspends what they are allotted. That’s on them not me. People shouldn’t be getting free private college even after the Supreme Court said he does not have the power to do so. We shouldn’t be feeding the fat. We shouldn’t be giving people money during COVID, we shouldn’t have gave free rent during COVID, people should never get more money back in federal taxes than they actually put in.

Government waste is the reason, not taxes.

If those banks were not given bailouts the economic impact would have been dehabilitating and beneficial to all Americans, that is if you’re referring to Obama bailouts… where as these handouts to college has little to none economic advantages for the country as a whole. If not given, there is no fallout for society either. Not even a comparison

You should be complaining about the high tuition costs and worthless degrees far too many colleges are pumping out. And what is Biden doing to end the practice of these loans and worthless degrees? As far as I know, nothing.
