2) The US's official position was that we wanted this guy fired; Republicans were calling for him to be fired as well. Biden was pushing for OFFICIAL US POLICY.
3) Pretty much all of our allies were calling for him to be fired.
4) Even if the prosecutor had been investigating Biden . . . firing him would have just meant he would be replaced . . . that wouldn't maaaaagically make the case go away, and the pressure from the US was to replace this guy with someone MORE likely to investigate and prosecute corruption.
5) Please re-read 1-4 until it starts to sink in.

Actually, the Trump Administration gave the go-ahead for the intelligence communities to act. Clearly, they don't act(I remember when the first head of the intelligence community was basically complaining, trying to pass the buck at Trump.). One huge problem Trump has, is the conspiracy theory that won't die. If it were me in office, and I know no Ruskie, I don't speak Ruskie. I would have told the director to do his job.
