I mean, no offense but I wasn't that drunk last night. MJ Davies told me so as we went to a Wafflehouse last night.
There is a LOT to it. Maybe start by WATCHING a replay of the SPEECH. If you want to delve deeper into the details, there are published guidelines for the plan, one can look up.
If cancer is ever eradicated a lot of pharmaceutical companies will go out of business. It’s a nice promise but didn’t this come from the man who has been in the public sector for decades?
It's fascinating to me to see how closely you and I think about some individuals, and some individual issues, and yet seem to disagree so fundamentally about 'the big picture'. No 'Trump-lover' was I... far from it. He flat-out lied about who would pay for 'the Wall', he promised to take action to lower drug prices in the United States, he said, over and over, that he would end the war in Afghanistan, and he installed a Federal Reserve Chairman who resumed crushing interest rates on peoples' savings accounts back toward zero in December 2018 -- almost two years before 'the virus' came on the world scene. I could go on and on, but it boils down to the fact that, so often, on the spur of the moment, he'd say he was going to do 'this' or do 'that' -- but, usually ended up with a half-assed effort that never really culminated in the desired effect! The one thing he did accomplish, with a relentless focus, was driving older Americans out of safe, secure investments and savings accounts into the razzle-dazzle, helter-skelter, completely overvalued insanity of the stock markets -- and used his allies in the Federal Reserve central bank to facilitate this stampede to 'the Big Casino'. Ha! We saw clearly how much VALUE there was in the stock markets in the first three months of the 'virus' onset -- it came crashing down almost 50% at one point, before being 'rescued' by the Federal Reserve, and even more orgies of 'bond-buying', interest-crushing, and the ongoing creation of imaginary money! Now, I'm the one who's ranting.... But I haven't even gotten started on the hyperliberal, 'woke' Left yet... and the vitriol I have stored up for those America-hating, manipulative cadres can't be adequately expressed in a forum like this without me getting 'banned' (again).... Maybe I'll close by posing an enigma -- that my ideal President of the United States would be an unimaginable synthesis of John F. Kennedy and Ronald Reagan! Surely, anyone who would think such a thing must be mentally unbalanced, so, I'll stop there. What hope do I have of convincing you or anyone else of anything by suggesting a totally non-existent person like that? But, how mentally-unhinged have 'We, the People' become when our choices since 2016 have included people like Donald Trump, Hillary Clinton, and Joe Biden?! . Those were the days...!
I thought that you'd be able to describe it a little bit for me... seems that you don't know a thing about it... oh well...
He sure has a very uninspiring style of delivering speeches, but I think the approach was good. As opposed to self-worship, which defined Trump, Biden credited the Congress for making things happen in their States, and then he introduced his tax-and-spend policy proposals, which I am sure will face opposition. Republicans called it "divisive", but just because they don't agree with Biden's policies doesn't mean he is divisive. Divisiveness is when you separate people in two camps and constantly blame the other camp for everything that is wrong, which is what Trump built his presidency upon. So, Biden is low-key, not a good speaker, but a 'nice guy'. We'll see what he gets done. Probably not a whole lot, but at this time that's probably a good thing, because the country doesn't need him to heal itself. The country can heal on its own.
Your error was not in thinking that I know nothing about it-- though I have certainly never claimed expert status-- but in thinking that you were due my investing my time for someone who clearly had no real interest in what he was asking about; someone who was obviously being disingenuous. There are too many of your type, here, for me to slavishly cater to all your insincere queries.
The reason no one created a thread is the same reason most people didn't watch Biden deliver his address. They were disinterested and they already knew what he was young to say.
You started the, "discussion," by asking me to fill you in on all the details (because you apparently knew nothing of it, on your own). This situation would be described as a, "class," or, "seminar," not a discussion.
Not what happened. I asked you to describe it for yourself so that we can have a discussion about it and you are obviously unable and/or unwilling to do so. That's fine; I just won't bother then.
Well that's an imaginative description of your initial post, I'll give you that: This was your reply, btw, to my merely saying that Biden's infrastructure pitch was of primary importance, in his speech (which is what this thread is about). If you are specifically interested in discussing infrastructure, I will point out there are already one or more threads devoted to specifically that subject (& of which, I am part).
