Who ever is pushing him to stay in the race should be arrested for elder abuse. Joe likely has dementia which is advancing quickly. He may not make it all the way to November. I bet Hillary will get drafted to step in at the convention.

 

I agree. Though, during a debate, Trump could sympathize and say, "This is sad. Joe is clearly not thinking clearly. Do you need a 10-minute break Joe? I don't mind. Go ahead if you need to."

My grandmother died with Alzheimer's in the 90's. She started showing decline 13 years before she died. She would be steady for a while, then a noticeable drop, then steady at that level, then noticeable drop....like stair steps all the way down until she didn't recognize her own husband of almost 70 years. My father started declining about 7 years ago, and doesn't know who I am today.

It's a cruel disease, and can move slowly, quickly, but mostly in starts and stops. Joe could be "about the same" in 3 months, or take a step or two down from where he is now.

 

It does seem like they'd prefer 4 more years of Trump to an experimental 4 years of Bernie.

 

A lot of people seem to think that Hillary is going to get in there, one way or another. I can't imagine that even the DNC would think that's a good idea.

 

They claimed Reagan had Alzheimer's in the final days of his second term yet they support Biden who clearly has it going in to his first term. Makes no sense.

I remember Reagan declining on the public stage during his last four years. It was hard to watch. He would never have won office if he was that bad off before beginning a first term.
