But isn’t this the thinking we have been seeing for years in relation to Climate change and other science base subjects? If something is not “perfect” it is no good

    WHY? for WHAT?

Do you STILL think Gates is putting nanoncontrols into the vaccine or what?

    https://www.newsweek.com/gop-rep-te...d-vaccines-quits-panels-new-hampshire-1637280

This crap is going to END the Republican Party. I ought to feel good about that but I can't help but think that like a wounded animal the GOP might take the country with it.

I've noted it mostly in regard to gun control. We still have mass shootings so therefore laws against mass shootings don't work and the only viable alternative is that we're all on our own to protect ourselves

Plenty of vaccinated have died anyway from covid. Some Vaccinated People Are Dying of Covid-19. Here's Why Scientists Aren't Surprised. (msn.com) and if they're dying from it, then their viral load is certainly high enough to spread it.

And no, I am the only one who is better off without the vaccine. That is a choice everyone should be free to make without coercion and thats what the antivaxxers are 'acting like.'

How about that imminent climate catastrophe from too much CO2 in the atmosphere isn't backed up by any environmental science? This fatalistic theory of imminent climate change catastrophe is bolstered by failed climate models using data that never has happened nor will ever happen. Besides, the failed climate change models assume that man is the only causer of climate change, assume man is the only thing that can stop climate change and the models don't give enough weight to the sun, for example, causing effects on climate change.

Climate change catastrophe from too much CO2 in the atmosphere is invalid 'cause its invalid rather than being invalid 'cause it's not 'perfect' as you falsely claim.

    Oh! Dear!
I often wonder how people can make this claim - I have seen thousands of reports over the years that DO back that claim. To know that they exist you have to look for them then read them.

You can't read the environmental science which supports these 'claims' since there isn't any. environmental science which supports these 'claims':roflol:

Guess I couldn't stand Cocker's endless air guitars, his 'ass eyes' or his ever-present sappy love songs.

Your reply is 100% false and doesn't address my reply to you, you went out in left field somewhere.

I do agree that the vaccinated are less likely to die from covid, but they can still catch covid and spread covid just like the unvaccinated. You keep making false statements in an attempt to have a valid argument.

Damn, you reply to my criticism by doubling down on it. Gall, thy name is conservatism

Look, I don't see how clearly I can re-state this, It doesn't MATTER how many people are infected as long as nobody DIES, (or suffers from "long covid"), and as long as we are all VACCINATED that will not happen (well not enough to clog hospitals anyway) This disease may very well end up being in the germ plasm of humanity, like herpes, but many diseases are like that.

Have you had your flu shot yet?

He also didn't announce that he took a dump any January mornings. Doesn't mean he was hiding it. You'll need to do better than that.

which hospitals are clogged? People will continue dying from covid just like people will continue dying from flu.

No, not ''just like the unvaccinated''.
At a much lower rate than the unvaccinated.

    Much lower.
Lower rates of infection combined with shorter illness and lower viral loads in those who still catch it despite being vaccinated.

What percentage lower would be enough to persuade you to care about those around you?

    Not really.
I’ve done a little reading up on the latest concerning vaccine efficacy over time and transmission rates amongst the vaccinated.

First, there is a pre print on actual transmission out of the UK. Here’s Nature’s take on it.

    https://www.nature.com/articles/d41586-021-02689-y

So right after vaccination we are seeing a 15-30 percent reduction in transmission but very little at all after 3 months post vaccination.

Here is a published study in NEJM from Qatar on longevity of efficacy. Qatar has much more comprehensive testing of asymptomatics than we do so their breakthrough rates are much different.
    https://www.nejm.org/doi/full/10.1056/NEJMoa2114114

    And
3-5 months after second dose, difference in transmission rates between vaccinated and unvaccinated are not significant enough to sneeze at, especially when you consider protection from asymptomatic (and all other) infection falls to 20% by month 5.

The situation in Vermont bears this out. They are the #1 state for vaccination rate at over 70%, yet are seeing the highest infection rates they have had at any time during the pandemic. Many citizens of Vermont would be well past month 5 and be transmitting at nearly the same rate as the unvaccinated because only 20% of total (symptomatic and asymptomatic) infections may actually be prevented—not the big numbers like 99% being bandied about based on (very incomplete) US data.

The research and real world data doesn’t support the reduced transmission theory we hoped would result from vaccination.

You really do have trouble with analogies, don't you?
The fact that is completely obvious to most of us but apparently escapes you is that just because he doesn't make a public statement about a thing doesn't mean he's "hiding" the thing. Was he asked about being vaccinated and lied or evaded the question? No? Then he didn't f***ing hide anything. Now stop be so annoyingly obtuse.
