Why hasn't Joe Biden visited the families of the victims in Waukesha, including the family of eight-year-old Jackson Sparks?
I think the last thing I would want while greiving is a visit from the president. And not just this confused doddering tool for the corporate elite, but ANY president.
I wonder why he met with the family of George Floyd, but not with the family of Jackson Sparks. Why do you think?
Is it your honest opinion that the President should visit with all the families of victims killed by violence? Or are you just grasping for things to give you an excuse to criticize the President?
Because his handlers dont think there's any votes for him to win there. Which has nothing to do with my point that I dont see how a president showing up helps the grieving process. Its stupid. If we were honest instead of political, headlines would've read 'president monopolizes grieving family for political points.' He shouldn't have bothered the Floyds and he shouldnt bother the Sparks.
I agree. However, he should allow the families to tell him to not come, not just not come out of apparent callousness. Instead of Joe Biden going to Waukesha, the White House sent Jill Biden, Kamala Harris' husband, and the surgeon general; and even that trio did not monopolize their focus on the grieving families; they were there to also tout vaccination. At this point in my retort to @modernpaladin, I think I'll also answer your question, too, @Capt Nice. It's true: Joe Biden--or his handlers--use a cold, political calculus in making their decisions. Joe Biden has visited the families of George Floyd and Jacob Blake, because, it appears, he was attempting to court the black vote in 2020. Remember: Joe Biden started his political campaign for the presidency by exploiting the racial tension in this country, lying about the phrase "good people on both sides" by Trump. Trump meant that the good people were the people who were peacefully protesting for and against the removal of the Robert E. Lee statue; and those groups existed amid Antifa and white nationalists. Joe Biden decided to stir up racial tension for votes. Joe Biden also went to the memorial service of Brian Sicknick, even though he did not die because of the riot on January 6th, 2021, despite the media mendacity to the contrary. So, like @modernpaladin notes, Biden shows up at these events only if it serves a political purpose. Considering that these people died at a Christmas parade in the soon after the Rittenhouse verdict, which made national headlines, considering that this story made national headlines itself, I think that that this tragedy requires decorum from the White House to send the president, not Jill Biden, Kamala Harris' husband, and the surgeon general.
By "soon," I mean it was about a couple of days after the Rittenhouse verdict that those people, including a child, was killed. Joe Biden is a disgrace.
Is it worse that his wife, Kamala Harris' husband, and the surgeon general went there--and not Joe Biden?
There is no evidence it had anything to do with that verdict. Those trying to politicize this are the actual disgrace
