Hmm, this sounds to me like it might just be about more government control over the banks.

Not that there's much more control the government could have, with all the regulations/laws that have been passed over the last few decades.

Of course these days banks don't get much sympathy from the public since they are typically gigantic corporations handling lots of money. (almost all of the smaller banks long since having been bought out)

 

CIA/Pentagon has to have some way for it ands assorted affiliates to launder money - don't forget the arms trade as well -

Speaking of terrorists .. kind of hard to say who is friend or foe these days .. For most of the last decade we were allied with Al Qaeda .. the 911 Terrorist group - Our allies need banking - otherwise they would have trouble doing our dirty work.
