Billions of dollars spent on poverty, yet poverty levels unaffected

    How much has been spent on our War on Drugs? Is it a coincidence or is it a conspiracy.

    Plenty. We need to look at our war on drugs as well as our war on poverty and our school system. All three need fixing. Not keep going along with systems that don't work the way the are set up. It's just plain stupid to keep going the way we are.

    I think we merely need to actually solve poverty in our republic to engender a new equilibrium that would include not giving the poor an excuse since they would no longer be able to claim to be in official poverty.
