BLM Admits Bundy Ranch a problem for China Solar

Yep....our gov't does it on a daily basis. Either over the phone or over the internet. So watch out.

 

If the Chinese solar link did not exist why did the BLM erase that page from their website?

So a spot is set to offset the impact of a solar farm and he's letting his cattle graze there when they shouldnt? That doesnt cut into the solar farms business, it cuts into the enviroments business. The solar farm can run as normal whether bundy grazes that area or not. There are alot of alloted grazing areas in the area, this just shows bundy isnt complying with the Taylor grazing act and is letting his cows graze anywhere he feels like.

Bundy is a nut. He's represented HIMSELF in federal suits BECAUSE NO SANE LAWYER WOULD DO IT FOR HIM.

Actually, that quote is in reference to other groups, not the BLM, who are concerned that they can't use Gold Butte as a wildlife mitigation area for animals displaced by already existing solar farms.

Your article is from 2012, which is a bit outdated for this story, considering that the Chinese company in question abandoned the plan to build the solar farm back in June 2013.

Think Harry Reid has managed to call a whole lot of attention to his ethics with this one. Holder will ignore it of course but there maybe some hungry investigative reporter will try and get to the bottom of all of his interest in the Bundy Ranch

 

If you have lived in a rural area, you would know that livestock gets out of pastures even if fenced.

Thats not the point.

The point is that the BLM and Reid's defenders have claimed there is no link to the solar project in any way.

That was clearly a lie. The BLM included the solar project explicitely in their justification (overreaction) to sending an army to deal with Bundy.

And if you read this BLM document “Regional Mitigation strategy for the Dry Lake Solar energy Zone: Technical Note 444" found here:

you will see that the Chinese solar power project is the reason for the displacement of so many people from the same region Bundy lives. The document focuses on the Gold Butte area where Bundy lives.

The solar plant is located elsewhere, but the damage to the local ecology by the solar plant must be mitigated with other land (like carbon credits, you can do damage in one place if you do restoration somewhere else). The mitigation area is Gold Butte.

So if the Chinese solar plant can't show they have mitigated their damage to the environment, then money doesn't change hands.

And guess what? That money goes into BLM's coffers.

 

So the government and everyone on an entitlement program is a thief.

Sure we do. This crap is happening all around us. One politician after another is wheeling and dealing our land, money and freedom away for the highest dollar and it goes unreported.

Really? Where in that quote does it say anything about ENN and its solar farm project? You can ignore my counterpoints if you like, but I will just keep coming back to rub them in your face.

Do you even know where the Dry Lake Energy Zone is? It's on the opposite side of Lake Mead from Gold Butte. Do you understand what wildlife mitigation means? It's about finding safe habitats for endangered animals; it has nothing to do with building a new solar plant. It's about creating an area in Nevada that is safe for animals that have been displaced by existing energy farms.

I was favoring Bundy until I looked closely at the details this afternoon. Two decades the BLM peacefully tried to work this out. How long would you wait to try to remove someone camped out on front lawn before you went out, pulled down his tent, and punched him in the face? I'm betting it'd be a lot less than 2 decades.

 

And of course there are those here defending the bigger thief. Reid. Trample the little guy for the benefit of the powerful. Nice.

It's a proposed mitigation area for the Dry Lake Energy Zone, where solar farms already exist. The ENN abandoned it's project almost a year ago.

It's funny. I've never actually heard anyone outside of politics who supported amnesty for illegal immigrants, regardless of their political views. It seems to me to be the viewpoint of nobody but corrupt politicians.

Reid is a crook, he wants the Gold Butte area free of people so he can use it as a mitigation area for his land scams (solar and other), and he is using the BLM as his errand boy to force Bundy out. Remember, "abandoned" today, reinstated tomorrow. Its all a shell game for types like Reid.
