22:47 - And they urge you to hasten the punishment. But Allah will never fail in His promise. And indeed, a day with your Lord is like a thousand years of those which you count.
70:4 - The angels and the Spirit will ascend to Him during a Day the extent of which is fifty thousand years.

So it the God day 1000 mortal years or 50,000 ?

2:29 - It is He who created for you all of that which is on the earth. Then He directed Himself to the heaven, [His being above all creation], and made them seven heavens, and He is Knowing of all things.
79:27 - Are you a more difficult creation or is the heaven? Allah constructed it. He raised its ceiling and proportioned it. And He darkened its night and extracted its brightness. And after that He spread the earth. He extracted from it its water and its pasture, And the mountains He set firmly

So what did god make first ? The heavens ? the earth ?

18:86 - Until, when he reached the setting of the sun, he found it setting in a spring of dark mud, and he found near it a people.

Finaly the human race know where the sun goes at night !

18:90 - Until, when he came to the rising of the sun, he found it rising on a people for whom We had not made against it any shield.

The earth is flat where the sun rises on a certain people.

36:40 - It is not allowable for the sun to reach the moon, nor does the night overtake the day, but each, in an orbit, is swimming.

The sun circles around the earth !

21:33 - And it is He who created the night and the day and the sun and the moon; all in an orbit are swimming.

Again, the sun cicles the earth !

71:16 - And made the moon therein a light and made the sun a burning lamp.

    The moon is emitting light.

26:40 - It is not allowable for the sun to reach the moon, nor does the night overtake the day, but each, in an orbit, is swimming.

Muhamad had never been to the polar area, so how could he know that the night overtakes the day there. But Alla should have known.

    There are much more....

The Bible is a work of all the wisdom people had almost 4,000 years ago. At that time, the biblical view of the structure of the world imagined a flat earth supported by pillars that extend through water to a firm foundation. Over the earth was a clear dome with gates in it that separated the waters that were over the earth from the waters that were under the earth. This is not true.

Please provide a link to your claim from the bible, not some newspaper article.
Anyways I don't hold any respect for any quotation of the "word of god" be it Jew, Christian, Muslim or any other.

Anyways, hre are some more errors in the Kor'an:
71:16 - And made the moon therein a light and made the sun a burning lamp.

    The moon is emitting light.

26:40 - It is not allowable for the sun to reach the moon, nor does the night overtake the day, but each, in an orbit, is swimming.

    I Samuel 2 starting at verse 8:

He raiseth up the poor out of the dust, and lifteth up the beggar from the dunghill, to set them among princes, and to make them inherit the throne of glory: for the pillars of the earth are the LORD'S, and he hath set the world upon them.

(Gen 1:6-7 NRSV) And God said, "Let there be a dome in the midst of the waters, and let it separate the waters from the waters."

(Psa 148:4 NRSV) Praise him, you highest heavens, and you waters above the heavens!

(Gen 1:14-17 NRSV) And God said, "Let there be lights in the dome of the sky to separate the day from the night; and let them be for signs and for seasons and for days and years, and let them be lights in the dome of the sky to give light upon the earth." And it was so. God made the two great lights–the greater light to rule the day and the lesser light to rule the night–and the stars.
God set them in the dome of the sky to give light upon the earth,

(Job 37:18 NRSV) Can you, like him, spread out the skies, hard as a molten mirror?

(Prov 8:28 NRSV) when he made firm the skies above, …

(Acts 10:11 NRSV) He saw the heaven opened and something like a large sheet coming down, being lowered to the ground by its four corners.

(Josh 10:12-13 NRSV) On the day when the LORD gave the Amorites over to the Israelites, Joshua spoke to the LORD; and he said in the sight of Israel, "Sun, stand still at Gibeon, and Moon, in the valley of Aijalon."

And the sun stood still, and the moon stopped, until the nation took vengeance on their enemies. Is this not written in the Book of Jashar? The sun stopped in midheaven, and did not hurry to set for about a whole day.

    Sorry, you've written:
But you fail to find the quote for that from the bible.
Why do you write things that has no touch with any truth ?

BTW, that believe you write about is not found in the Bible but in the Kor'an, but I ommited that for better quotes.

Now for what you've wrriten here:
This is a total missquotation !
It has nothing to do with the Bible, so go and fire the one who translated this for you.
    The origin is:
    כִּי לַיהוָה מְצֻקֵי אֶרֶץ, וַיָּשֶׁת עֲלֵיהֶם תֵּבֵל
The real translation is something like:
The substance of the earth is god's and he placed on them the universe.

BTW, there are no "princes" there also. It was placed there by who have translated it, for they did not fit what was really written there which is: "Respectable people"

There are no pillars there, what so ever :)

    Okay, let's begin.

First example is wrong. Those are two different things being spoken about in each Surah. Allah SWT's day is 1000 years, the journey of your spirit takes 50 000 to get there. I mean come on, just read the two verses... "And indeed, a day with your Lord is like a thousand years..." and "The angels and the Spirit will ascend to him on a Day the extent of which is fifty thousand years." The day mentioned is the Day of Judgement.

For the second one, Allah SWT created the heaven first. However that was just the beginning of heaven. After making, I guess you can call it the foundation of heaven, he made the foundation of Earth. Then, as the verse states, he "made them seven heavens" and after building up the heavens he began work on the Earth.

The next verse is not literally saying it sets in muddy water... Its what it looked like to Dhul-Qarnayn. It's like if you look at the sun set across the ocean, it would look like it sets into the ocean.

18:90 does not in any way imply the Earth is flat... When the run rose it rose and he saw people. I don't know how you for that interpretation from this verse...

Actually, that verse is correct. First, it does not say the Sun orbits the Earth, it says the Sun is in orbit. The moon and sun will never reach because they are in different orbits. And, it was only until recently, that we have discovered the Sun actually orbits the galaxy. Amazing how that is in the Quran, isn't it? Subhan'Allah :)

Again, nowhere does it say the Sun orbits the Earth, however the Sun does orbit the galaxy.

Yes, the moon does emit light. You didn't know that?

And for a third time, the word Earth is mentioned nowhere, however the Sun has now been discovered be in an orbit of its own.

    -----

There are no contradictions in the Quran. That is why and the proof that it is the word of Allah SWT. The only time it can have a contradiction is, as you did above, try and make it have a contradiction. But it is refuted, every time.

    Allah SWT makes no mistakes.

So, what did this thread accomplish. Well, that the Quran has no mistakes. And that it knew about the Sun in an orbit long before any astronaut today. So, maybe you actually just enforced the belief that Allah SWT is the author of the Quran.

Response: There is clearly no error, for the verses clearly mention two different events. One verse refers to the length of punishment while the other refers to the ascension of the Angels and Spirits. Debunked.

Response: Again, there is clearly no contradiction. For the first verse mentions the creation of the earth while the other mentions not creation, but the spreading of the earth. Debunked as usual.

Response: The verse clearly mentions where "he saw" the sun setting, not that the sun actually sets there. No error. Debunked as usual.

Response: Yet the verse doesn't mention anything about a flat earth. Debunked as usual.
Response: Yet no where does it state that the sun circles the earth, but says that they both orbit. No where does it say around each other. Debunked.

Response: The moon does emit light. Even a child can confirm the sight of the moon at night. Debunked as usual.

Response: Yet the night doesn't overtake the day, nor can you prove otherwise. Debunked again.

Thus you've only helped to demonstrate that the Qur'an is not only free of errors, but the true word of Allah, for the science that is mentioned was revealed 1400+ years ago before modern technology. Thanks for the assistance.

    here's your bucket list:
    1. read comparative translations.
    2. respect the knowledge first then state your opinion.
    3. do not copy-paste.
    4. make your research please.
    result:
you have a weak case full of weak arguments.
you can even watch answers for those on "youtube".

    The greater questions are:
Why does Alla gives eyes to those who doesnt see ?
Why does his give reason to those who doesnt think ?

lol so your whole idea of this thread gets put down and you change from errors in the Quran to supposed errors in Allah SWT's judgement and decisions?

You can't ask another human why God does something. That's like asking a janitor about rocket science.

or why sun having an orbit haven't been discovered by science earlier?

1400 years ago we have been given that information,
but qur'an has been accused of giving false information.

"is sun orbiting around the earth?"

    no sir. it doesn't.

Arabs developed the earliest navigtion tool.. the Kemal.. so I would expect they understood more about the night sky, the curve of the horizon etc.

    as far as i know;
    36:38
And the sun runs [on course] toward its resting-place
That is the determination of the Exalted in Might, the Knowing.

    mind the word "resting place".
    look that up.
solar apex was recently discovered by advanced astronomical
    observations in our age.

    no historical record before.
    except the qur'an.

    befor that... maybe newton?
nope... because he didn't discover the "sun orbit".
he discovered the planets orbiting around the sun.

thus; let me know if you can spot something between
    the qur'an and 1918.

The bible has just as many errors and contridictions as the Quran.
