    Trump's penchant for favoring autocratic regimes is a known commodity. Here we have more reporting on a specific instance where his behavior created an issue for even Bill Barr who was worried about the threat to the DOJ's independence.

    Also, LOL at Bill Barr thinking that the DOJ is still independent from trump.

    Time to subpoena Bolton and Barr.

    The Bolton draft is not a legal document and his publisher is trying to hype the book for sales.

    And, as far as Bill Barr?

    What sort of "integrity" can you expect from a guy who got appointed AG because he let Trump cut the Men's Room Line at Bush Sr.'s Funeral?

    I'm genuinely not sure who I'd rather follow into the men's room after a session in the toilet... Barr or Trump...

    For once, I'm going to give Trump the BOTD here...

    Agree with @MrTLegal on the concept of DOJ and independence.. That ship sailed under Sessions and is steaming quickly towards the iceberg under Barr..

    How many more months until these corrupt idiots are gone?? 12, right?? Please make that happen....

    I know we can put Bolton in the same room with Trump... this isn't 1984...

    No way you guys can dismiss Bolton's future testimony... much like they couldn't with John Dean in 1973...

    As his book title clearly says, he was "In the room where it happened" (which now needs Febreze)

    The NYT is a joke. Let's not put faith in what it says until the book comes out. And even then, remember Bolton left the administration in an unfriendly manner and he's trying to sell books.

    So it was Bolton's opinion that Barr might have been possibly worried....maybe....lolz!

    Cut 'em some slack. They figure that with all these smoking guns . . . Mueller Investigation . . . Obstruction Howls . . . Impeachment farce . . . and now Bolton -- who does not actually lay claim to any -- you know -- proof . . . surely this time they've GOT Trump. It's their current version of collective Hope for Change.

    What Bolton says is meaningless. Even if true, it's not worthy of impeachment.

    Impeachment is for things like LBJ sending 57,000+ young men to their deaths while knowing that war was unwinnable.

    I believe Trumps actions are fully removable.. Impeachable is no longer a bar, since it already happened.

    BTW, based on the "New and Improved" Dershy Bar (trademarked) for impeachment, LBJ couldn't be impeached for that... sorry..

    Um . . . the Dem Party proved that you can impeach a sitting president along strictly partisan political lines with invented charges and no evidence. In the future any sitting president can also be impeached for any reason whatsoever. The Dems cannot stuff that POLITICAL genie back into the bottle. It's as if the Party's leadership cannot comprehend the concept of . . . consequences.
