given the tremendous success of the war on drugs, how would banning guns do anything? the perpetrator just committed the two most serious felonies one can commit under state law. Do you honestly think the threat of being punished for having a gun would have deterred him? and with open borders and over a billion guns available on the world market plus at least another 300 million in our country, do you seriously believe someone intent on committing murder would not be able to get one?

and since I am extremely well trained in defensive shooting, I can tell you given how fast this happened, a well trained bystander might well have killed the shooter but I doubt before he killed at least one and probably two of the victims

I HAVE personally, over the last 30 years, loaded well over a half million rounds of 9mm. 45ACP, 38 Special, 38 Short Colt, 40 SW, 380 and the four NSSA shotgun gauges. and just about any competitive shooter does the same plus has thousands of rounds put away.

the fact is, the shooter in this incident is going to die in prison based on what he did-maybe not through execution but he will die in prison at some point. He obvious didn't care about that penalty. The ONLY WAY you can stop attackers like this is to intervene before they kill. Ideally, that means treating the mental illness that spurs most of these types of wanton killings. If not, by getting lucky and having an armed citizen or police officer kill or incapacitate him before he murders. The threat of punishment is worthless when dealing with berserker attackers. As is the BS appeal to gun control

Yes. These are small local TV stations that just contract with news companies and TV networks for content sharing. These are not big networks reporters. They do things like interview the local dog catcher and report on local fires. They are more like the original youtubers than they are major network reporters.

 

If you are talking criminals and the mentally unstable (as in certifiable, not just people who disagree with your political agenda) then you are talking. Eliminating guns and going after legal gun ownership/constitutional rights, you are the problem.
