Brennan considers legal action to stop clearance revocations

Yes, I understand, although those lawyers mentioned don't know this, apparently. ha ha

I am sick and tired of these kind of people in intel acting like a law unto themselves, as the elected part of our gov't turns a blind eye to them. Two tiered justice system. One for me and you, one for the elites. Pisses me off. But reveals what we have in DC. People who act they they work for the mafia.

 

I never understood why Brennan made it so personal. Or makes it so personal. Trump may, or may not, have done something illegal with Putin. And even if he didn't, Trump may owe Russian oligarchs so much money that his independent judgment may not be trustworthy, or at least we voters should have been told of the exact connections. And their IS a Hillary corollary: I don't see how anyone could vote for her considering some of the really bad regimes that gave money to her charity so they could meet with the SoS.

I think Trump is more or less right on China and Iran acting detrimentally to our interests. I disagree with his tariffs on everyone about everything, and I think he should have dealt separately with Iran's support of terrorism than with Iran's choice in not actually producing a warhead ... or ten or twenty. And he shouldn't have met with Putin after Russia's intereference in elections was made clear. And North Korea punked his fat orange ass. But calling him a traitor? Even if the worst comes to be "the truth" about Trump, he most likely is not a traitor.

How is a President exercising his Constitutional Authority suddenly a "technical defense"? It seems you guys have some serious TDS. Brennan should have known better that going on National TV, bashing the President and (possibly) misusing his Security clearance could have legal ramifications. At the very least, he abused his privileges.

Did you object this hard when Obama revoked security clearances?

I would be pretty angry if I were Trump. The abuses and misconduct from the former administration that is going unpunished is a scandal all by itself.

We should all be very concerned.

 

Trump is not beating anyone.

And if former security officials disagree with a policy, they should be able to say it without any recrimination. Now if they comment on someone's patriotism or speculate over unproven motives ..... have at it. The Iran deal, for example had a lot of holes to it. Whether it was still worth doing is something people can disagree over.

Do you have any idea what it cost to renew a clearance every 10 years? I wonder who pays for that?

 

And presidents have the right to revoke clearances. Brennan can find something else to occupy his time.

Yeah, I agree that Brennan should not have said "treason." Not unless there's a whole lot of evidence and others willing to go there too.

But Bolton was unable to specify what "intelligence" Brennan misused.

mine were taken away when I left the Navy in 1993. no longer a 'need to know'. Had I known how much money private corporations would pay me for my special access I would have demanded to retain them....because, you know, it was my right (according to the TDS loons)
