…He also points out that the fact that he has is a farmer and comes from an area that has been impacted by wildfire gives him a unique perspective that even the current governor does not have.

“There is a difference between the two of us actually, I am a true environmentalist who actually wants to actually stop fires and build more storage for water,” Dahle said, arguing that as a farmer he is a steward of the land.

While he has been in government since 1997, including 16 years on the Lassen County Board of Supervisors, he has also run a business.

“That’s the difference between me and Gavin, he calls himself a business owner, but he really doesn’t run his business every day,” he said. “Everything he has done has been handed to him and he hasn’t really governed in a way where he hasn’t had to work with other people.”

And he says that’s where his style will be completely different than the current governor in that he will work with people, but right now the current state have affairs in government doesn’t require that.

“When you have, you have total control, you have a lot of abuse of power,” he said. “And that’s what’s happening in California.”

Dahle argues the only way to correct that is to start from the top down and remove the current governor.

“You want four more years of Gavin Newsom? Vote for him,” he said. “But if you want balance, change and common sense. You have a choice. Vote for me.”

It’s a message that he said he’s been able to share since Tuesday with more people who are trying to find out who he is and what his experiences are.

“A lot of people have been trying to find where the heck I’m from,” he said….

t is great to finally have another person run for Governor of California from the far north part of the state. It is about time that the forgotten part of the state will be remembered again. The type of governing that he advocates for would be great for the whole state. Sen. Dahle would make a great Governor.

The 1/4 of California north of the Bay Area counties and Sacramento has less than 2 million of the states 39 million and is largely forgotten except when people talk of defying mandates, voting for Trump, or militias supposedly taking over county government. It will be great having our rural, small town, exurban, and agriculture/natural resources issues addressed statewide for once.

No. It’s not except Del Norte county. The three northern coastal counties combined have 250,000 total population. Their US house state senate and assembly seats are quite liberal and extend into Napa and Sonoma counties.

Actually he was reduced to 56% as the rest of the votes were counted. Us far north rural areas of the state now get to have our problems and advantages exposed and t have water, forest management, and ag issues well discussed.
