This kind of murder is one of the most horrific type. Most murders happen by someone the victim knows. This man just felt like killing. Wanted to kill and did it on the spot. Trump has nothing to do with this and I wouldn’t vote for trump anyway. He attacked gun rights and I will never vote for anyone who does that. So that shows how much you know “my type”. And you think I’m the one that lives off of stereotypes lol.

This is the result of lefty social engineering. Where they do nothing but attack the middle class of the country by promoting crime and financially supporting their imported criminal cabal. Why? Fear. Dependency, lots of reasons. LA is suffering attacks like this all over the city. The mayor, Garcett, and Newsome are spending billions of dollars to make this happen. And every time news like this happens, they smile.

Ill take a shot at it. Its because the BLM/ACAB people are putting DA/ADAs into office who are releasing piece of shits, like this man, back onto the streets to kill innocent people, regardless of the color of their skin. This was entirely preventable had this man been locked up where he belongs. He's on the street because white liberals who feel guilty about their racist views of black people feel that they need to release violent offenders back onto the street. Never forget that when you release black criminals back onto the street your actually victimizing the very people you're trying to help. 90 percent of black homicides are on other blacks. But hey go ahead and fill that empty liberal void where a soul is supposed to be and keep releasing monsters back onto the streets so you can thump your chest and say "I am an ally to black people".

Those types of folks say MSM is "burying" something in the same way those click bait ads say "...and you'll never believe what happened next". It's automatic and thoughtless.

Cases like that should be magnified x1000. You know why? Because if it was a white man who walked into a furniture store and murdered a black woman in this manner, there would be literal RIOTS from coast to coast. Don’t even pretend otherwise.

Let me ask you something. What do you think the percentage of all violent felonies committed between blacks and whites are committed by blacks.

    Just take a guess.

Oh come on  If this had been a black guy full of dope, drunk and overweight this would have made the forum two hours after it happened and be eight pages deep by now...

The OP has a valid point, if a white man had murdered a black women it would be a far FAR different scenario with the media and on this site..

Oh, the name game, eh? Without using Google, how many slaves can you name? Slavery, even though it’s completely dead and has been dead for years, still conjures up hate and fear in some people even if they just came into this country last month. Surely such an emotional topic can attach names to their arguments.

What you’re missing are the names of people who became famous because they died committing a crime, and the left made these household names, in fact they’re heroes.
    Floyd
    Michael Brown
    Freddie Gray
    Trayvon Martin
And let’s not forget the original race baiter, Tawana Brawley.

Can you name a business who received nationwide attention for not letting white people who weren’t customers use the bathroom?

The reward is racist. No one in Chicago gets a $250k reward for diming a murderer.

Remember when the left said masks are racist because no one wants to see a black man in a mask coming at them? The left comes up with more ways to be racist all while claiming everyone else is the racist. Just look at Biden.

The irony here seems to escape you.

The ones in society who are calling for a return to segregation are not old white conservative but you guessed it liberal progressive Democrats and many of them black

I hear you and I don't disagree that our judicial is very broken. The reality is prisons are a "for profit" industry, and as such, it is practically impossible to get anyone to want to fix it because they are the ones that benefit by keeping it broken.

Further, because of many factors, albeit, some are true, some are not and it's this double-standard the creates an environment where we are being spoon-fed a perspective to accept as valid and *completely* accurate when it's not. This is exactly why I don't watch the news of subscribe to any newspapers. I refuse to contribute to any company/business that perpetuates this kind of toxicity.
I understand that position; however, I believe that you are looking at this as a "still shot" versus a "whole photo" and that's exactly why these kind of headlines and posts are counterproductive toward resolving the issues we face as a society.
I haven't had a chance to look at this specific case, but, in general, there are many issues at play here.

    Despite popular opinion,

    1. We simply don't have the capacity to keep every criminal in prison forever. That's just a housing issue.
    2. US prisons are not designed for rehabilitation.
    3. Our mental health system is not designed for positive outcomes (in which clients move forward in positive directions.
    4. Our parole system is broken as well.
    And more.

I don't write that as justification or rationalization of this crime or any crime. I'm just saying that we, all of us, are not addressing these issues within our society so it can't possibly change and, the reality is, most people just want to "write off" people once they've been in any kind of trouble with the police. And, someone that can't find work, housing or food is forced to find other methods for obtaining them. These obstacles are more difficult for non-white ex-inmates due to systemic discrimination. Please don't read that as a pass on recidivism.
This is not uncommon. Statistically, crimes, especially petty crimes happen within the communities where people live.
    This is not my position.

If you want the cold, hard truth, I believe that...

    * People should stop making women feel bad or guilty for wanting abortions. Forcing somebody to have a kid they don't want doesn't bear well for a large percentage of them. In fact, this is also true sometimes for people that *wanted* to keep their babies.

    * Many of these abused and neglected children are placed in group homes (orphanages) and/or foster care and often separated from their siblings. A large percentage of these people could have been helped simply by *not* ripping them from the only home they've ever known, taken from their siblings and placing them with complete strangers until they reach the age of majority (legally become adults).

    * Children in group homes and sometimes foster homes are abused, including sexually, by older kids and sometimes staff members.

    * Children in group homes and sometimes foster homes are "adopted" (the implication is they are placed with a person or couple) and actually forced into human trafficking or forced to procure new "assets" of vulnerable kids for their handlers to provide them a warm bed, food and protect them from other predators.

    * Runaways (children that left their parents'/guardians' home versus group or foster homes) are usually forced into homelessness where they don't have any way to earn money other than drug dealing and/or prostitution

    * We need to focus on providing mental health services to children and adolescents. The reality is people don't just up and decide to commit crimes as adults. There are usually countless points prior to committing a crime in which intervention and redirection are possible.

I could never win an election in this country because I strongly believe that if we stop focusing on the wrong stuff and make the effort to "fix" all our broken systems on the pathway that funnels these people into our prison system we can not only cut down on the number of crimes and help push these people into becoming positive contributors in their communities.

However, my plan comes with some non-negotiables. All kids in all government-run facilities...

    1. to get mental health services.
    2. finish school or obtain a GED,
    3. not abuse alcohol, drugs or engage in reckless promiscuity,
    4. required to attend support groups,
    5. required to complete courses on budgeting, stress reduction, anger management and other things I can't think of right now. ;-)

Should any child/teen refuse to follow this plan would forfeit any benefits they would otherwise receive at taxpayer's expense. It is not fair to those of us that work, pay taxes and don't commit crimes to essentially be "rewarded" for being dead weight on our country's wallet.

After that, if they continue on the path to self-destruction, they can get out and do that. Once they commit an enforced crime, they go to prison.

They would then be eligible to apply for a program that helps transition them back into society with the goal of self-sufficiency upon completion.

If they get arrested for anything else (doesn't have to be the same type of crime), they are done. If the crime is related to drug-dealing, human trafficking, pedophilia and/or rape, they get a life sentence initially. They would be entitled to ONE appeal. If that's not granted and they won't go to counseling, they get the death penalty.

No, I'm not a liberal and I have a soul. I also have non-negotiable positions on the counterproductive and counterintuitive threads that are designed just to get people worked up about <whatever the agenda is>. I think in problem solving, not race-hatred or hatred of any kind.

Thank you for taking the time to share your opinion with me. I appreciate that you were civil despite our difference of opinions on this issue.

We don't disagree, Joe except I don't like Trump. My comment was sarcastic because some people love to throw Biden's name in the mix for any reason. Some people did that with Trump when he was in office. It's just annoying but I probably could have been nicer with my wording.

I really tried my best not to respond to this RW click bait (I really did), but while I feel very sorry for this girl and her family and angry at the man who killed her, how EXACTLY do you think texting a friend about a "bad vibe" is going to avoid the "nonetheless"??

Is the friend supposed to call the police in your Wonka-like world? What's your best case scenario??

LBJ was describing a critical part of the political strategy that has allowed the DP ruling elite, until recently, to dominate much of its base

“The system of slavery demanded a special police force and such a force was made possible and unusually effective by the presence of the poor whites. This explains the difference between the slave revolts in the West Indies, and the lack of effective revolt in the Southern United States. In the West Indies, the power over the slave was held by the whites and carried out by them and such Negroes as they could trust. In the South, on the other hand, the great planters formed proportionately quite as small a class but they had singularly enough at their command some five million poor whites; that is, there were actually more white people to police the slaves than there were slaves. Considering the economic rivalry of the black and white worker in the North, it would have seemed natural that the poor white would have refused to police the slaves. But two considerations led him in the opposite direction. First of all, it gave him work and some authority as overseer, slave driver, and member of the patrol system. But above and beyond this, it fed his vanity because it associated him with the masters. Slavery bred in the poor white a dislike of Negro toil of all sorts.”
BLACK RECONSTRUCTION IN AMERICA 1860- 1880, W.E.B. Dubois, introduction by David Levering Lewis, the Free Press new York 1998.

Yes they have; not overtly but covertly it's a big part of all these threads, an underlying implication no less clear for being hidden.
So what are you suggesting we do about it?

False. No one said or implied anything like 'All black people are murderers and all white people are saints'. It would be an absurd argument, and thankfully it's one that hasn't been made. You, or @MJ Davies , could have made the plausible argument that there's a general feeling of uneasiness with the high level of criminality among the African American community, but nobody said anything nearly so sweeping and overly-broad as MJ Davies' post implied. Nobody said "All black people are murderers and all white people are saints" or anything close to it. Pretending to "refute" that claim as if it were something somebody had said is a laughably absurd strawman.

Well yeah, but it sounded like the threat was imminent as he was in the store... spitballing ideas back and forth on your phone doesn't seem like the best use of time.

Call the police yourself and/or lock yourself in the office if you suspect immediate danger..
