Of course Greece has wolves, it has jackals too, especially in Mount Athos, where they like to howl like mad during Liturgy. Also Macedonia was famous for its wild boars since Roman times... and I'm talking about the real Macedonia in Greece, not the fake one. Greece doesn't consist only of islands, there is a mainland that connects with the Balkans. Mountains, think mountains.

Besides the furriers of Kastoria, were known to be the best in the world, and you can't have furriers without animals. I had a wolf rug once from there. It was pretty.

THESSALONIKI, Greece -- A missing British hiker whose dismembered, fleshless remains were found in the hills of northern Greece was probably attacked by wolves while walking alone on a remote path, torn apart and devoured, a Greek coroner said after an autopsy Wednesday. ​

Coroner Nikos Kifnidis told The Associated Press that both the woman's thigh bones had been cracked open by bites and large sections of her body are still missing. He said a vet at Wednesday's autopsy in the nearby town of Komotini confirmed that no dog or jackal could have administered such bites. ​

I don't know what you're trying to prove Goody, KSA is a strict Muslim country, and dogs are not very well liked. Which is understandable of course, since they did carry diseases and especially in a warm climate and with rabies being prevalent. I just read though that there are stray dogs in KSA which surprised me, but they roam the desert so they're not seen.
