I believe the People of New York need to read their State Constitution. If the security of a free State is a problem, then the legislature has a solution. There is no need to delegate any power to destroy forms of conveyances or course of descents.

What a coincidence. Capitalists buying Arms to protect their private property due to Prohibition. Why not end the drug war to reduce crime and end our wars on crime, drugs, and terror.

    I'm not opposite at all.

What always characterizes a fascist is the claim that citizens of a country should follow laws and government officials without question, which is what you are doing. When someone disagrees with a law or statute, the fascist attempts to characterize such a person as not being law abiding. You're trying to do that too.

Back in reality, I am questioning a law that is not Constitutional, was not voted on by the people of New York, and is a violation of the positions to which these government officials were both elected, and sworn in to defend and uphold the Constitution.

Back in reality, I am questioning the application of the law itself, in which the police officers are confiscating legally owned property without a search warrant, and are confiscating property such as long guns which is against the law to confiscate, and are doing it before the 15 days have expired, again breaking their own law.

Back in reality, I am questioning how firearms that have been in the same home, same safe, same situation suddenly becomes a danger that must be solved by invoking an unconstitutional law, and then breaking their own law when they execute it.

Of course you addressed none of my points because you know you can't, and went after your last option which was attacking my character. That's also not going to work for you either, although you don't know that yet.

You may also want to educate yourself on calling someone a Neanderthal, as it isn't really an insult. They were at least as intelligent as Homo Sapiens, and in many ways superior.

Bring your debate anytime you want, or run away if you can't, it doesn't matter to me. TTYL.

Decisions can be appealed all the way to the US Supreme Court... but then we have a problem currently because the Supreme Court is missing the key "odd vote" that can break a 4-4 split.

... and Supreme Court decisions, regardless of what our personal opinions are, do establish Constitutional precedent that we all have to live with. To stand up against a Supreme Court decision is to stand up against the US Constitution itself. Some may choose to do this but as a veteran of the US Army I once swore an oath the uphold and defend the US Constitution and the authority of the Supreme Court is granted by the Constitution that I swore to uphold and defend. You may oppose the US Constitution but I do not.

If you don't like a Supreme Court decision then advocate for a change in the Constitution based upon the Amendment process established in Article V. Until that change happens then live with, and support, the Supreme Court decisions. You may disagree in opinion but you still have to accept living under the Constitution and the decisions made by the US Supreme Court.

The people in NY are closer to our constitution's birth place both in location and knowledge. They don't need anyone else's advice.

Funny thing is that upstate NY is nothing like what anyone might imagine, People in those towns are not your typical Yankees, more like people of the mythical town of Mayberry.

The Anti gun people passing gun control legislation in NYS and NYC are a small very vocal rabid minority.
The pro gun people may not have much of a handle on things in NYS, but they sure do try, Bless their little hearts !

When I was a boy growing up, we used to summer in Upstate NY, a nice summer cottage, the woods, a swimming pool, horses, and no need to lock anything, freindly people greeting you even if they don't know you, offering you a cold beverage on a hot day.

Most people had guns too, very common to see folks in front of the Fire station having a gun show.

The low crime rate of NYS has nothing whatsoever to do with gun control or gun control legislation, it has to do with the people that inhabit those regions, there are many gun owners in NYS.

Creating laws that obstruct the second amendment is the very definition of bad government. You arguing that because you state has the majority of people that want strict gun control then that is good for everyone. Voting for gun control does not make it good or moral law, it simply means you have a majority view.

Your confusion is that you believe majority view and majority voted laws are always just and good laws. Their are millions of examples of the opposite of that. Just because a majority of people want a law does not necessarily make that law moral.

I am from NYS originally, and I know for a certainty, any visiting gun owner wanting to help pro gun causes would be made very welcome, the few rabidly Anti gun minority might object.

I knew exactly one previously Anti gun Anti hunting guy in NYS, he had retired and bought a home and 100 acres of land and invested / planted around $ 30,000 in his newly purchased orchards.

Massive hoards of starving zombie deer reduced his Orchards and saplings to crap.
He was devastated, suddenly he was seeking help at the firehouse, wanting to take firearms classes, hunting & safety instruction and help buying his first guns, even handguns, he explained all this to me over a cup of tea, He helped me as a young kid, to understand that gun control does no good.
From Anti gun to pro gun, and to think sweet Bambi and freinds made ut all possible !

He reminded Me of Ben Cartwright / Lorne Greene of Bonanza.

You again, don't seem to know what you're talking about. I could see you make that statement if this were Russia. The citizens have a the legal address they need. As a last resort, they vote the public officials out of office. That you gurus think this is a big deal, means you're getting your NRA talking points all mixed up. But just thinking all of you know more then Buffalo citizens is laughable. Now you are preachers of morality and lawyers from degrees where ? "It's unconstitutional"......do you know how dumb that sounds. It's a STATE law, not a federal law and you guys are suppose to be supportive. Ha ha.

You do realize that when federal judges overturn state laws as unconstitutional it effects more than just that specific state. For instance the recently overturned Assault weapons ban in Maryland could have ramifications in New York's safe act. It is sort of similar how states that had gay marriage bans were overturned by the federal court. Your infantile understand of how federal versus state laws work is laughable at best. And yes when it comes to gun rights it is absolutely apparent that I know one hell of a lot more about it then your average new yorker. Otherwise the Safe act would have never became law.

There is no correlation between poverty and violent crime.

Appalachia is probably the poorest area in the country, and also one of the safest.

There's definitely a correlation, but it isn't poverty.
