Beto might lose in a humiliating defeat, but he'll have plenty of out-of-state money saved up to try to buy another election victory in the future.

Its not surprising that Beto might lose along with other Dem candidates because of gerrymandering. Most of the right-wing candidates may win because the party cheats because the reality is that that's the only hope they have...they're becoming increasingly extreme and irrelevant. Luckily, regardless of who's in Washington...they country continues to trend towards Liberal values. Liberals will always win the culture war and thus, the country will continue to make progress...it just won't be as quick and painless as it could be.

 

Dems have crossed state lines in the last few years to pay for every small election they think they might have a chance of winning away from the GOP. And boy do they spend a TON of money. And boy do the left never care about how much money is in politics when they are the biggest spenders. The left will bring up citizens united all the time, but ignore the fact that the left has out spent the right since that ruling had been made.
