The MB is going to have to make a decision now. Go the way of Abu El Fotouh and reject the Wahabi Salafists is the only answer. They cannot remain in the middle.
Amr Mussa still hasn't denied that meeting few weeks ago with Tzipi Livni to create internal chaos and the later meeting at Al Wafd HQ to discuss ways to do it........................... Wonder what evidence the lawyers have now that the case is being investigated by the PP Wonder if there is any truth to it...................
the ones remaining are MB so I guess that they will pack up and go now the area is secured by the Rep Guards I doubt the anti Morsi's will come back now that the Rep Guard are here
Anti Morsi protesters planning march to Presidential Palace this afternoon starting point at 16.00 From Alnour Mosque In Alabasya and Raba'a Al Adwya Mosque. Despite warnings from Republican Guards! I guess we can look forward to more fighting and dead then as Tahrir seems to have moved to Heliopolis now!
Indeed, the elites in Egypt and other Arab countries still tend to mock the Saudis as déclassés Bedouins who would have stayed that way if it were not for oil. "It's as if Jimmy Swaggert had come into hundreds of billions of dollars and taken over the church," one Arab official told me. The hellish culmination of this modern trend occurred in the mountains of Afghanistan in the 1980s and '90s, when extremist Wahhabism, in the person of bin Laden, was married to Qutb's Egyptian Islamism, in the person of Zawahiri, who became bin Laden's deputy. Who wrote this?
Check the link Margot and read the whole article. It is Michael Hirsh. Here is the link again for you. http://www.washingtonmonthly.com/features/2004/0411.hirsh.html#byline
American journalist covering the clashes is saying the anti Morsi marches to the Presidential Palace have many protesters ready for violence with Rep guard as they are wearing all kinds of hear gear and helmets and they are filming the marches. She says they are expecting violence and preparing for it. I have to say since the Rep Guard are out in tanks in the streets and have warned them not to approach the palace they really deserve what they get now. They are just thugs. No other words for them and I bet you El B and Mussa and Sabahi are no where near the front line. In fact they will be sitting at home watching this collision course! dam n them!
Really I did not put the quote and link in to discuss him but in reply to part of post 4. Do you have nothing to say about what he said?
Providing they are peaceful, they in no way deserve any violence and otherwise they deserve the minimal force to restore order.
I find that the Wahhabis who live outside of Arabia are far more militant or radical than those in country. The issue in Afghanistan was the US proxy war against the Soviets...
I am indeed a Mubarak supporter. Not everything was right during his time in power, but neither was everything wrong. I would rather deal with a secular type of dictator or even a military one than a religious one. Anyway, the fact of the matter is----- the egyptian people took down one regime and elected ( and some of us believe that vote was fixed) in a President who has now unbridled power. Anyone who believes that he will relinquish that power is out of their mind.
I certainly call for the old regime now and so do many egyptians. And yes, my choice would have been Shafik. I would choose anyone other than an Islamist of any stripe.
Odd how it wasn't enough during the revolution. The opposition are demonstrating against unbridled power in the clutches of the MB. It is really that simple. They should not go home. If our president assumed total power of the 3 branches of govt, you can bet there would be chaos on the streets as well there should be.
The MB had every judge sign the numbers after each poll that is why they knew they won. There is no evidence they were fixed at all. If you have any show it here. I have to ask something here. You are all screaming and people are being killed because of something you don't believe he will do in 9 days time. To me that makes no sense at all!!!!!! Why not shut up and wait and see. Save another mother having to go to the morgue! 9 days and you will know. Is that so hard for you? 9 freaking days!!!!!!!!
As a child SA was the only country which had the draconian Sharia laws. In Afghanistan the US chose to train and fund fanatics let out of Arab jails in preference to democratic minded Afghans despite being asked again and again to stop doing so. In addition they turned a blind eye while the Afghan child refugees were given fanatical religious training paid for by the Saudi's which just trained them to be religious fanatics at the expense of a proper basic education and being educated on Afghan traditions. When the war ended the fanatical arabs went on to look for their next project - basically messing up Muslim countries. I think Hirsh's article is very good. He is absolutely right that it has been Saudi Salifism/whahhabism which has been spread hither and thither including to Muslims in Western Societies and it is that which demands they recognise the ULMA and go off fighting wars. Luckily our (UK) Muslims had some strong intelligent Muslims on hand to help them sort this brainwashing out. Here is another about the 'Islamic Reformation' http://www.guardian.co.uk/commentisfree/2007/sep/28/theislamicreformation Salifism or whahhabism is not the historical Islam of Egypt.
