If they're old enough, and have prior records, the seriousness of this assualt would lead a sane prosecutor to demand they be tried as adults, and a sane judge to agree.

If they were young enough, the adults could have defended themselves better, ITMO. Some might consider it barbaric to execute...even more so to do it publicly...but these are the kind of peoples whos compassionate ideas we've been following. They clearly arent working. Of course I'm not defending their actions, but clearly the US's response thus far to the issue of murder and gangbangers is not working. To find a set of actions that might actually help reduce these murders, one has to ask questions at a level deeper than the superficial.
