the term 'india' will not be replaced by the term 'south asia' as earlier planned . the term 'hinduism' will not be replaced by 'ancient indian religion' as earlier planned .

it will also be accepted that hinduism was broadminded enough to accept sages like valmiki and vyasa who were lower caste . earlier it was planned to delete any references to sages who were lower caste .

but the aryan invasion theory will be in the textbooks and hinduism will still be represented as a caste ridden society .

some leftist groups supported by sikhs , muslims and lower castes were trying to erase the term 'india' off the textbooks and replace it with 'south asia' . also all references to the term 'hinduism' were asked by these groups to be deleted .

the lower castes want hinduism's exploitation of their caste to be depicted in those textbooks and they have had their way . sikhs say the term 'hinduism' rejects their separate identity . muslims say hindu groups want the mughals to be written of as oppressors .

a huge emotional campaign by hindu americans brought some relief to hindus in california . but the relief is only partial .
