Sad but it is human nature. In fact it is the nature of most vertebrates. We prefer to be around our own kind. The concept of inclusion is certainly worthwhile. Take the Japanese for instance. They make our racism look like child's play. Yet they never let it get in the way of living their lives. They practice inclusion and good manners. They never let it get to the point of hatred. It works really well for them.

Then, the bottom line is that you blame the black people in Africa for selling their own people into slavery as a business, and seeking customers from around the world?
IF that had not happened, new world slavery would never have existed.

That IS where black slavery came from. Documented fact- Black people were capturing and selling black slaves to the north Africans and middle eastern markets a thousand years before a white European ever set foot in Africa. Black Africans obviously saw no problem with black slavery. The concept of black slavery wasn't ended by the black people who created it- it was ended by the actions of white nations, recognizing it was unjust. Around 750,000 Americans died in the war to end slavery. That however- ended slavery in most of the world. Not all.

Slavery in Africa has never ended.
The continent and it's nations are black majority and black ruled... and have 9.2 million people in slavery TODAY. Black Africans have yet to affirm that black slavery is an unacceptable tradition...
The number of slaves in Africa today is more than double the highest number of slaves ever in America. ever.

WHAT IF we were to restore the descendants of American slaves to the position they would likely hold today if those ancestors had never become slaves?
The quality of their lives would change.

They would likely be Angolans today instead of Americans.
Their country would rank 156th in terms of prosperity.
They would have an average annual income less than $7,000 US Dollars.
They would have one of the lowest life expectancy rates in the world.
Their children would be lucky to have a 4th grade education.
Their access to safe water would be around 50%.
The would likely be living in a hut made from native materials.
They would find it impossible to live in their capitol city, as it is the most expensive city in the world to live.
They would live in a system where rich people can buy themselves out of any crime, one where corruption controls everything.

This is a black nation, with a black government. They could make this nation whatever they wanted, and this is what they have done with that power.
How many black Americans would want to be there today?

There is not a single person alive today who was ever a slave. All the prejudices of the past have been in the process of systematically being rejected, and the focused, proactive efforts to improve the lives of black Americans has been going on for over 60 years, and has involved massive expense and privilege. Racism has been pretty well eliminated- everywhere except im the black community.
There... it's being resurrected and promoted.

You will never be able to enforce a law that prevents people from retreating to their own comfort zones.
I am white and I prefer the company of white people, and I don’t care if non-whites are in my social mix.
The blacks in my area high school are kids raised by black parents who left black areas to live in white areas. Their kids are pretty much the same as everyone else. They talk about girls and jobs, not robbing Walgreens.

It’s the one truth activists and Leftists will NEVER admit. Slavery that we know in the “modern” world would never have existed if it weren’t for black people selling their own in the first place. And slavery back in the old world also existed before anyone white could be considered white.

And white people from up north didn’t have the numbers to simply float down in small ships and enslave an entire African continent by plucking people off beaches and running. African slave merchants sold their own. These facts fly in the face of the entire movement to blame white people for everything.

And the biggest irony…ONLY countries that still have any sort of slavery TODAY are NOT controlled by anyone white. Africa. South America and Asia. No slaves in EU, US, AU or Canada. Facts over feelings.

I have White friends that I've known since elementary school. I have relatives who are married to Whites.
So, yes Blacks and Whites can still get along with each other.

To me this tells me that this particular individual who wrote this has no desire to look past the color of someone’s skin. They obviously hold a bias towards skin. I doubt they ever care to see a greater good or a life where people can coexist. It’s not sad, it’s absolutely pathetic. But if they want to sanction themselves off to a particular community and hold themselves back in this manner it won’t hurt any of us white people.

Every culture has had slaves. America was the first culture to rebuke slavery.
Even black cultures have had slaves, and still do.

There are plenty of ways to find 'other', other than skin color or physical characteristics that a person has no control over. That is my point.

I guess I'm the oddity. My 'inclusion' factor is about people being decent, caring individuals who give back to the world. Nothing big, no grandstanding, just treating others humanely.

If not for whites this trade would still exist today. England while they were the power house of the world set sail and freed multiple slave ships and sank the boats they caught. Later America joined in this endeavor and also put sanctions on countries that refused to abandon slavery. There was no Black Country that wanted to abolish slavery. They were the last to abolish it. The economic power and the will power of white nations destroyed it yet they blame us for their problems today.

Doesn't sound odd to me. I think most people view it the same way. The Japanese certainly do.

Pretty sure the British outlawed slavery before the United States. That being said most of the British slave owning was conducted in their colonies, not at home.

Except the black racists rarely get called out on it, and when they do they play the victim card.

You speak some truth here. I would like to see an honest counterargument to what you wrote, that isn't just accusations of racism.

I call racism out regardless of the race of the racists

but I will admit, I try to avoid them if possible, regardless of their race

    Well yes...and no.
In this case it is a racist question because it refers to race as the marker that divides people.
But there are many others which indicate whether "you" would feel comfortable in their presence including faith (British people would ask the same question about Muslims, their current obsession).
But I have to admit that I would find it difficult to feel comfortable around aristocrats,
people who were very into sports, who were very shy or who very loud. Because I don't share their characteristics or experiences.
I would invite anyone I felt had something to share or exchange. I don't care what minority they are or what others say about them. But sometimes there isn't something to share or exchange...it has nothing to do with race or faith or culture. It is a personal reaction to another person.
