Trey Gowdy has introduced an amendment in the House to eliminate Sanctuary Cities, cause immediate deportation of illegals charged and convicted of crimes, essentially putting teeth into the immigration bill. The scenario here immediately before Mr Gowdy spoke was testimony from an immigrant who was here legally whose son was killed by an immigrant here illegally who had been charged with multiple violations of US law but not deported. Her testimony was then followed by testimony from an immigration lawyer who stated point blank that US police did not have the qualifications to deal with immigration law. Various people have expressed their desire to see Representative Gowdy (R-SC) in the Senate and soon. Rule of law. You don't like a law, repeal it. That's been the basis of life in this country ever since its founding, and one of the primary reasons for its many successes. Only during the past 53 months have we seen a spate of politicians who feel they can float Godlike on a cloud , not being bothered by and above all the humdrum, the minutiae of everyday life, ignoring the laws they don't like, enforcing only the laws and concepts they like. That's rule by whim, by edict and executive fiat. That's the stuff of Fidel Castro and Hugo Chavez, Joseph Stalin, Nikita Kruschev, Adolph Hitler Heinrich Himmler, and Reinhard Heydrich, as well as the Roman Emperors Nero and Caligula.

See such a bill SOUNDS good to the anti-Latino yahoos out there.....but it quickly dies in Committee as even Republicans ask those same questions of "Okay how do we enforce it?"....and it disappears. But in the meantime....Gowdy takes more of the suckers' money.
