    I think many of us suspected the virus will return. Unfortunately, we appear to be right. This latest warning ought to make us think twice before we as a nation decide to leave isolation;

    "Dr. Robert Redfield, director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, warned Wednesday that a second wave of COVID-19 infections could hit the United States next winter if the coronavirus pandemic follows a seasonal pattern.

    “I think we have to assume this is like other respiratory viruses, and there will be a seasonality to it,” Redfield said in an interview with “Good Morning America” host George Stephanopoulos, who announced this week that he had tested positive for the coronavirus.

    Redfield said that a resurgence of the virus in the U.S. was “likely,” but not guaranteed."

    I wouldn't be surprised if becomes a permanent part of the landscape. Not to mention, at some there'll be another outbreak of some sort.

    And water is wet...Yes, this virus is a part of our ecosystem now. The good part about that, is the human race will be more and more prepared to fight it and win, with ever decreasing losses., The Immune System is more then capable of fighting this Coronavirus once it has successfully fought it the first time.

    The second wave will be less lethal because it lost the 'novel' status that made it so deadly.

    So.......we can:

    1. Quarantine forever :hiding:

    2. Resume life, building immunity as we go.

    3. Continue with some degree of social distancing, and stay diligent regarding improved hygiene, and let the experts work on vaccines and treatments.

    4. Take this opportunity to tackle obesity and smoking, as both seem to be factors determining the severity of covid19.

    5. Some combination of #2 and #3 and #4 :)

    Amen. Let this thing go through the population as it is the only way it will become neutered. Flu vaccines are 50% effective which makes them a coin toss at best. I think millions of people have been exposed and the effects were minimal or not present at all.
    Slowly open the economy but start now.

    An edit supporting my point.
