CA was a destination for so many. Now it is the place people flee from. The illusion is that it's still nice, and modern. When, frankly, it's crumbling and there isn't enough tax base to fix it anymore. Same thing happened to NY. Folks fled there because they saw the opportunities. Now, there are so many other options, and they are losing the battles because their elite were so greedy they took all the public funds and funneled them to their friends and lackies... Waste, greed, corruption, and blight. That is what CA has inshore for it's future.

People are leaving Illinois at a very fast rate also.

The taxation is sky high, and they're giving driver's licenses to illegals making it a very dangerous state. Even people in eastern Iowa are concerned and moving, because the disease is spreading across the river.

One that you evidently can't answer. Fiscal policy doesn't do much when gentrification occurs and the average house is close to a million bucks...

California is not crumbling to the ground anymore than Kentucky is a poor state.

I can't point at anything in CA that was built with an eye towards longevity or durability. Literally everything there was built to perhaps survive a couple decades, to always need to be rebuilt, to ensure that nothing lasts. The epitome of progressive angst...

There is nothing built by humans on this planet that are long term use. You should see the houses they build..

I guess you don't get out much.. There are many many examples of things there were, actually, built to last, and have. And while nothing will last forever, there are actually lots of things that will at least be around for more centuries than CA has been at it....

    Whose fault might that be?

    Probably Trumps, right?

Certainly not blue policies that jack up the cost of living, taxes, and the financial burden to any landlords. Definitely not that.

Do you know how much easier it is to do pretty much anything anywhere else but CA and NY? House prices go up because building permits the size of the bible are required, then you have to pay abnormally large taxes and fees on top of that. That's BECAUSE of blue policies. Theres no denying it.

Policies that lure wealthy people or say tax breaks from the feds and states to reinvest in areas that are economically depressed and what is built is expensive housing where what was probably there before was a rent controlled housing facility..

Easy to say. Each of 5 kids have careers, friends, relationships, their boyfriend/girlfriends have family.

While I am the first to complain about taxes, I am an outdoor person, love snowboarding, riding a sport bike, hiking, surfing.

Don’t worry. Democrats only need to make it easier to fill those spots with illegals. Talk about exploiting the system. They just need bodies. As many as possible. The utter destruction of the country isn’t on their radar. Look how well Latin America functions. We should be more like them right? /derp
