    No I can't give a good reason why Germany should remain in NATO. If they don't pay the share they promised then they should be expelled and all bases removed.

    I also believe the US should remove themselves from the UN and form another organization with only legitimate democracies being admitted. Germany could be excluded here also if they don't pay what was promised.

    When countries like Germany played along with US interests, more slack was given to them over their trade and military spending deficits.

    Now that Germany is big enough to stick it's fingers up, it's big enough to stand on it's own two feet.


    Trump has a point on Russian trade. Russia has been using it's oil and gas sales to rebuild it's military.
    From a military perspective, this is a big strategic issue.

    America would very much like to sanction Russian trade to limit Russia's ability to fund it's war machine.
    So Germany's trade with Russia directly undermines NATO. It directly makes NATO's job harder.

    It's not just a commercial concern where America wants the trade for itself. It's not that simple.

    Which is the better place to live, Germany or the US? Over 20 million Germans have immigrated to the US. Under 100K Americans have immigrated to Germany. No more need be said.

    Ramstein AB is a US Air Force base in Germany. The war in Iraq was conducted by US war planes not NATO.

    T read an article a couple of days ago, written in 2004, that the Germans were the most propagandized people in Europe. Judging from the German responses we see here it would seem to be true. But then I see where many Europeans have been propagandized against the US, even during the Cold War when the differences between the good guys and the bad guys were quite clear. Now we see some historical revisionism going on as well.

    An 80 year old is on Social Security. No one would cut them off.
    The conversation is about able-bodied migrants.
    On my way to work I see a guy in his mid-twenties begging for money. Why can’t he get a damn job? I know the government does not help him (reason for begging), but it’s still a question of principle - I get up in the morning 5 days per week and spend most of the day away from my family - why should I ever feel pity for a guy who has both legs, both arms and his eyes? In many European countries he would qualify for assistance. Why do Europeans waste their money on scum like that is beyond me.
