Defense of free speech is not relegated to a single race. I live here. I went out to stand for the statue, against these ******bags. They arent helping. The only violence, however. Came from the antifa left which these dicks defended against. Then the cops declared the peaceful federally granted protesters an "unlawful assembly" due to their need to defend themselves. These *******s came ready for a fight, and the left did not disappoint.

Sure. The left is easily triggered and resort to violence. That does not excuse them.

 

Nonsense. If these white supremacists have the balls to hold what's essentially a white power rally in Charlottesville, then they can do the same in any city.

I'm not aware of any Gen. Lee statue in the city but if these protestors have the courage to rally, knowing full well what a swastika means, then they're obviously brave enough to do this anywhere else they see fit.

 

(1) To tear down the statue seems like a symbolic attempt to eradicate southern history; and many of us are thoroughly opposed to that.

(2) It is my understanding that the counter-protestors--i.e. the "progressives"--were troublemakers bused in from Washington, DC.

(3) That said, the original protestors were apparently infused with members of the KKK and American Nazis--which are hardly representative of those of us who adhere to mainline conservatism.

All in all, it is a clash that some of us wish that both sides could (somehow) lose...
