Not likely because of the protests - they made record profits, and the bottom line is what matters, so a company wouldn't likely change a policy in response to a protest unless they saw a drop in profit. Most likely they examined some of the groups they were donating to in response to the public drawing attention to them (like the AFA and Bryan Fisher-affiliated groups) and saw that they were on the fringe, and voluntarily decided to stop funding them.
You have no idea if they did or not. You are equating a single day with "record profits" in the long term. There is no relation between the two. I guarantee if they were seeing record profits the policy would not have changed. Given that the company is a customer of my particular employer I could easily check such a thing. But alas, I could never reveal the information, so there is little point.....
