These otherwise fine and healthy young men could be at school studying law, or medicine, or engineering, or international politics. Or starting a small business. Or volunteering for a charity. Very sad.

Yes, they do speak for themselves. Rice and beans (and whatever vegetables are in season and therefore cheap) is ALWAYS cheaper than than processed crap. You know as well as I do why such people aren't eating rice and beans.

I don't have a single item containing 'corn products' in my house. I am not 'forced' to buy ANY processed foods, period. Neither are you. If I buy processed foods, it's for my own convenience. They're more expensive, and very unhealthy, so only laziness could compel me to go there. And before you say 'but some folk live in food deserts, and don't have time to cook from scratch', I don't even live in a city (centre OR suburbs) and still manage to find the basics (rice, beans, lentils, low sodium tuna, in-season fruit and vegetables) without any difficulty at all. I also run a business, renovate houses, have three kids, keep a productive garden, and still manage to cook everything from scratch. AND I spend less on groceries than local 'poor' families.

Further, demonstrate exactly how this 'force' is applied. How does it work?

You misunderstood. I do not buy processed foods or sweetened beverages for my family either. You and I are forced to buy these products for others through taxes. We are forced to pay the growers, the consumers, and in the end, the pharm products that mask the symptoms that come with that diet.

If you don't pay your taxes, the government will take your business, your bank accounts, and your home.

I'm not following you. Do you mean via welfare?

No. Lets take corn for example. You and I are being forced to pay farmers to grow corn. When the consumer buys a Coke, you and I helped pay for it. When they buy a burger, we helped pay for it.

Right, gotcha. We don't grow a lot of corn in my country, but I take your point.

Just an observation of what illegal aliens who mow lawns or work on construction sites purchase in the early morning before doing the work that Americans refuse to do.

May explain why according to OSHA and workman comp insurance underwriters that Hispanic immigrants and illegal aliens are twice as likely to get injured on the hob doing exactly the same kind of work as a native born American citizen.

Those items tell you exactly why such people remain in poverty. Chicken or turkey, red meat, sticks of butter (I think?), and beer.

    Red meat ????

Last Saturday I paid $17.98 per pound for a prime cut ribeye steak !

Not at Gelson's or Pavilions but at Vons.

How often to you see prime cuts in your typical neighborhood grocery store ?

Sounds good. No idea what those store names mean, but steak is good .. when you can afford it. Which was my point - 'poor migrantss' etc can't afford meat, and yet they keep buying it. Which is why they stay poor :)

Mexican be they illegal aliens or immigrants usually buy flank cuts.
At the stores where average people shop it's usually choice cuts.

At the Mexican stores it's select cuts.

Ah, but in 2020 they can sell and get stoned legally. That oughta bring down the violence, but the poverty? Well, if everybody’s stone and nobody is working...?

If they're poor, they shouldn't be buying meat period.
