Interesting that this is reported world wide but so far US coverage is mute .
It is in Huffington but I have not even checked that trash rag .

All I remeber is the "Japanese are taking over" talk from the 80s. They had purchased far more US assets than the Chinese have. Where are they now Chick Little?

 

Chinese have $3trillion cash and as much credit as they want -- except they don't need any . Japanese actually had nothing very quickly .
US has nowhere to go except China , but China cannot afford to stab them too hard because of the amount they have lent .

Regardless , the World may be Orange now but it will be Yellow very soon .

Well, considering how much of our bond market they own, I'm surprised this didn't happen sooner.

 

The Chinese hold ENORMOUS assets in the USA's factories in China. The Chinese can afford to do ANYTHING they want to.

At this moment, they prefer gaining more of our wealth for pennies on the Dollar,or really, the Yuan.

But that can change anytime without notice, and it is the USA who "cannot afford to stab" the Chinese because our very daily lives depend on the products they make for us that we do not even know how or have the capability to make anymore.

 

You are absolutely right , but most Americans are nowhere near a mind set change yet .
Most simply don't know that the game is up .And do not wish to .
But China has not so much cash / cash in assets , that it can kiss goodbye to its loans . And it doesn't have to , because obviously the US will continue to need trade /exports .
Far better for them to weave a web around the US than have unnecessary conflict .
Frankly , I believe that the Chinese have run rings around the US , as have separately Fundamental Extremists . Afghanistan , Iraq , Libya and even Syria ( still early days) are glaring examples . And I am sure Yemen will quickly follow .

 

At anytime US companies can rent factories someplace else and there goes China's progress. USA is the only place they can sell products made there. Other countries value quality over quantity. From consumers to producers. China makes crap, Americans love wasting money on crap. When you consider the "crap" is vital to China's growth, where it is an undesirable characteristic of Americans, it is China who needs America. Americans would be better off being more frugal, where as China wouldn't be better off not making crap.

This isn't even considering the factor that they are so used to intellectual theft, instead of building a nation of independent thinkers knowing one day the well would run dry.

Honestly, socialist Russia was by far a scarier opponent, regardless of the human capital China has to spare if major conflict was ever to transpire.

Where we sit currently, an expansionist USA could take control of all land in the western hemisphere, from the Arctic to Antarctica, within a few years. China would be lucky if they could take even their neighbors in that same time frame. Not too worried.

Remember, all that has to happen is nationalists take over, and every foreign investment can be nationalized and sold to Americans for pennies on the dollar. This is the beauty of the situation.

 

These are the consequences of being a democracy.The USA is well known for its moderation for foreigners and let in anyone who agrees with its principles then there is nothing to wonder about the chinese dominancy in the usa.Now,It is much more difficult to change the law to restrict the immigration to the usa because it would lead to a series of international condemnations that can damage the positive image of the usa.

A nice little war over the resources in the South China Seas involving China , Philippines & USA could lead to China's US assets being confiscated.

I'm saying the elite that control America have no nationalist tendencies outside of starting fervor for global campaigns. Globalists make poor leaders of nations. You know you're (*)(*)(*)(*)ed when "sovereignty" is an evil word to your leaders. And considering Americans haven't been in control of America for quite sometime now, one cannot point to results of globalist policies and somehow claim that is what would happen if nationalist Americans were in control. We have entered a new era. People can be from your nation, in charge of your nation, all the while thinking the idea of "nation" is a joke. That is the base of every problem, every western nation faces. For there is not a chicken coop anywhere in the west the fox has not infiltrated.
