    Christian obsession with Atheists
Why are Christians* so obsessed with Atheists?

Christians say it's silly for adults to have an 'imaginary friend' - but isn't it just as silly to have an 'imaginary enemy'? Christians are completely paranoid about anyone who doesn't believe what they believe, and feel compelled to attack them.

Just thought I'd put that out there.

*Of course this doesn't apply to all Christians- only the obsessive, paranoid Christians who spend their lives obsessing about imaginary persecution because not everyone believes what they believe.

A big part of organized religion is conformity... and that is fine... but Christians get into trouble when they try to apply their strict rules to everyone around them. Lots of Christians are kool and take a live and let live attitude, but most seem somehow threatened by those of us who reject their strict interpretation of morality. They speak in absolutes... like "in the absence of conformity there is chaos"... as if we have to be one or the other... black or white... good or bad.

The reality of it all is that life is organized chaos... we group together with like minded individuals... where from group to group views on morality can be vastly different. Sadly many Christians believe that it is their duty to make all groups like their group, and if you resist, you are beaten over the head with the Bible and told that you are going to hell. Makes Christianity look like a religion of hate and judgment rather than a religion of love and compassion.
