Historical evidence shows that the apostle John wrote the gospel of John. https://reasonsforjesus.com/why-everyone-should-believe-the-apostle-john-wrote-the-last-gospel/
Christianity is a relationship with God. Why does it matter if it's technically a religion? Not everything has to be in a neat category.
No it doesn't = quit posting lies from those fundamentalist snake charm sites. What a joke - 150 AD - Martyr wasn't even born when John was composed - blubbering some nonsense - much of which has been proven false .. You need to stay away from these ridiculous peddlers of lies.
There is evidence from Europe that the Apostle John wrote the Gospel of John. https://reasonsforjesus.com/why-everyone-should-believe-the-apostle-john-wrote-the-last-gospel/
Christianity is first and foremost a relationship with God. James 1:27 uses the term pure and undefiled religion but it's not a good term. Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.
Judaism follows the law and rejects the Messiah. It's a religion because of those manmade traditions. I am not for or against traditions like Jewish holidays but I don't agree with teachings that give people the wrong idea of who God is. https://www.gotquestions.org/Christianity-religion-relationship.html
Your OP doesn't really explain Christianity, just what you believe will happen in the future. Beyond that deficit, how do you know that your god is the "right" one?
Rabbinic Judaism follows the law and rejects the Messiah. https://www.gotquestions.org/Christianity-religion-relationship.html
Rabbinic Judaism follows not so much the Old Testament, but manmade traditions. Colossians 2:8 Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ. http://www.jesus-is-savior.com/False Religions/Judaism/satanic.htm
People don't read the Bible to see what it really says, they trust whatever their clergy teaches. Matthew 23:9 And call no man your father upon the earth: for one is your Father, which is in heaven. https://www.oneforisrael.org/bible-...lmud-rabbinic-tradition-vs-the-new-testament/
Agree that is the majority - like how you run from the Bible into man made fundamentalist dogma. That said - most do not end up calling the Father a "Pagan God" like you do but often will blaspheme Christ without even realizing it. just like you so I see the similarity. Since you don't call on "The Father" as per the passage you quoted .. who is it that you call on ?
No doubt that Jesus was a Suffering Servant - is this why you blaspheme his name and run from his teachings ?! Do you attend Church mate ?
The Old Testament doesn't say that the Messiah is the Suffering Servant because it gives a messianic profile. The Bible isn't there to tell us everything about everything, it can't, it's a limited document. And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. 2 Timothy 3:15
Rabbinic Judaism is manmade because it rejects the Messiah. Mark 7:8 For laying aside the commandment of God, ye hold the tradition of men, as the washing of pots and cups: and many other such like things ye do.
