CIA and FBI Release New JFK Assassination Documents National Archives unveils 441 never-before-seen records. By Diana Crandall 7/25/2017 Nearly 4,000 records associated with investigations into the assassination of President John F. Kennedy have been released by the National Archives, ABC News reports. Although most of the material had previously been released with parts redacted, there are 441 that have never before been made public. In the materials, there are reportedly 17 recordings of interviews with former KGB agent Yuri Nosenko, who defected in 1964 and told authorities he was in charge of Lee Harvey Oswald’s KGB file while Oswald was in the Soviet Union.
