There are also jobs in the innovation sectors of clean energy, but this will not stop the swindler-in-chief from kissing butt of big oil to line his pockets and those of his cronies.

Take away the government subsidies and make them compete in a free market and they won't.

How much do we spend in blood and treasure to protect the oil supply? How much was the Iraq war alone? The only reason we care about the ME is oil.

How much blood of fallen soldiers is represented in a barrel of oil?

Well, that and the religious belief that we have to protect Israel.

PS. Solar has dropped in price by about 90% and still dropping every year. I believe wind power is now competitive in many areas. Also, third-generation alternative fuels are down to about $5 a gallon - down from $30 a gallon and almost competitive with the price at the pump.

Big oil doesn't care about Trump.. He's just a gasbag. Big oil is also working on the future when petroleum will be used for gasoline and manufacturing.. but everything else will be solar, geothermal, wind, etc.

Saudi Arabia has been working of solar (successfully) and hy solar since 1982.

Yeah, yeah and we killed what was left of Iraqi oil production after two decades of war and sanctions.

Heh, yeah, that didn't work out so well. But our entire footprint in the ME is because of oil. And recent Russian aggression is largely about energy as well.

The price of gas at the pump doesn't show the trillion's of dollars spent
or American lives lost in the Middle East to attempt to keep the area stabilized !

Some do actually believe that coal is the next wave of the future. Did you know that surgery performed without anesthesia is making a comeback too? That will lower medical costs.

It's a mystery why Donnie is trying to set this country back decades. Is he getting money under the table? Is he ignorant? We report, you decide...

“American taxpayers spent an average of $39 billion a year over the past 5 years financing grants, subsidizing tax credits, guaranteeing loans, bailing out failed solar energy boondoggles and otherwise underwriting every idea under the sun to make solar energy cheaper and more popular,”

No doubt. But I'm thinking the day of the US taxpayer funding every boondoggle a Gruber-Obama moron can think of is coming to an end.
