Colorado Democrats suddenly move to abolish capital punishment now that Hickenlooper is a candidate.

So since you want to establish the precedence that the government can seize the ownership of a person’s body and force them to let another person use it against their will, if I ever need an organ and you are a match, I’ll make sure to have the government kick in your door and take it from you by force.

The only good thing about Hickenloopy is the games you can play with his name.

Nobody forced anyone to do anything the minute she dropped her panties of her own free will she volunteered to incubate a baby.

Colorado would follow the lead of many other states that have abolished capital punishment. https://deathpenaltyinfo.org/states-and-without-death-penalty
I think the logic is quite evident that state executions are not a deterrent to crime.

STATES WITHOUT THE DEATH PENALTY (20) (YEAR ABOLISHED OR OVERTURNED IN PARENTHESES)
    Alaska (1957)
    Connecticut (2012)**
    Delaware (2016)#
    Hawaii (1957)
    Illinois (2011)
    Iowa (1965)
    Maine (1887)
    Maryland (2013)
    Massachusetts (1984) Michigan (1846)
    Minnesota (1911)
    New Jersey (2007)
    New Mexico (2009)*
    New York (2007)^^
    North Dakota (1973)
    Rhode Island (1984)^
    Vermont (1964)
    Washington (2018)
    West Virginia (1965)
    Wisconsin (1853)

    ALSO
    Dist. of Columbia (1981)

That is only true if she purposefully intended to become pregnant. Given that pregnancy is only a minuscule probability from any single act of intercourse, intercourse alone cannot be seen as consent to pregnancy occurring.

It would be like claiming that by choosing to get in your car, you consent to being hit by a drunk driver.

So your argument is that women are to stupid to figure out that sex can make them pregnant? And how miniscule that chance is depends on what time of month it is in her cycle. Wrong time of the month and the odds go way up.

No what I’m saying is that the minuscule chance of pregnancy from any single act of intercourse, especially if contraception is used, cannot be seen as consent to be impregnated.

The chance of getting hit by a drunk driver is pretty high at 2am on Saturday night. If you choose to get in your car at 2am on a Saturday night are you consenting to being hit by a drunk driver?

Well, yes, I can think of several 'adjustments' to make to a name like "Hickenlooper" that would make it amusing. But he's already such a JOKE of a liberal Democrat that instead of having laughing at his name, I'll just laugh at HIM for what he is, and what he stands for... (like many of us in Colorado have been doing for years!).

Anybody who would take a convicted mass-murderer OFF of death row -- INDEFINITELY -- for no reason at all is NOT someone I ever want to see running the entire United States!

Really bad comparison. And better one would be you deciding to play chicken on the highway at eighty miles an hour with a drunk driver You got hit by the drunk driver because you chose to place yourself directly in front of him.

Nope it’s a perfectly apt comparison. Both are situations in which you have a small chance of something happening that you do not want. In neither case does consenting to a related action (sex/driving) imply you consent to the negative result (pregnancy/being hit by a drunk driver).

There is no chance at all if she doesn't crawl into the sack with the guy. Murdering someone to cover for your own carelessness or stupidity, is a horrible idea.

Similarly you have no chance at all of being hit by a drunk driver if you don’t get into a vehicle. So if you do get into that vehicle, you are consenting to being hit.

Must be a bummer for a Republican to live in Colorado. Do you feel outnumbered? Maybe nearby Nebraska or Kansas would be a better fit for you.

When you choose to drive on public roads, however, you take on the risk of an auto accident that certainly wasn't something you wanted or planned on. And if the accident is a result of a choice you made, your decision, your action, you are responsible for the consequences including any passengers that may have been in your vehicle. You cannot absolve yourself of that responsibility just because you didn't want to have and/or didn't plan on an accident.
