    Does that include phone service. My bill includes router that I am renting and of course the modem to run the phone service is part of the. Phone component.

    PS the package includes the 13 channels but I refuse to plug the box in.

    Cox wanted $139 for phone and Internet with the roster rental. But they said with the basic basic nothing package it is $125 for one year.

    I plan to schiet can the phone service before the package increases .

    Everyone should consider cutting the cord. With Amazon fire elite, or Roku , and Hulu you can get a whole lot of what was in TV cable.

    No, when I tried the phone service, they completely screwed me, so I cancelled immediately. What was told to me over the phone and the actual bill was about $90 in their favor.

    That was our plan, actually, but we had to exit AT&T and our other option, Xfinity, didn't offer good mbps without cable. Plus, it was only $20/month for 140 channels. We could do without TV, but we're going from 18 mbps to 250 and the monthly cost is going down $95/month. So, we're pretty happy even though we can do without cable easily, at this point. We're on Netflix, Hulu and AZ Prime video far more often these days. We just consider the $20 part of the internet cost.

    Side note - Comcast was supposed to be here between 5-7 to plug the source to the house, but canceled because of all the drama today. I can't wait to see what 250 mbps looks like.

    Wow!!!! I admitted to nothing, I merely said I know the Amazon Fire thing is hackable, my cable bill is $265 a month. But I do have a hacked version of Photoshop because it seems many leftist/anarchist groups out there think all software should be free and I'm testing their theory.

    I am going to ditch the Cox phone service , we are buying a third iPhone cell phone and will move our land line number to one of our old cell phones and use it as the home phone. Adding the third cell phone will cost less per month even buying the third cell than it is cistingbfor landline phone service through Cox.

    We already have the device and my wife has had Amazon Prime so the app is included with Amazon Prime. What am I going to back?

    A lot of that goes to programming. ESPN gets $5 from every cable subscriber, I think they’re the highest priced non-movie out there. Fox Sports West gets $2 per subscriber. Those networks push hard to be put on the basic tier, this way every customer gets it and those channels get their cash. If those channels were on subscription tiers they’d get killed.

    I get tons of channels, Amazon movies TV shows, series and under PRIME tons of movies are free if you already have prime. I use HULU to stream TV networks, and movies. Hulu has built in DVR software up tom50 hours per month. If I wanted HBO I could get it for9.89 per month. I will pick up the HULU sports package for college football and college basketball thus fall and drop it after march madness.

    I agree . I actually live almost close enough to hit a golf ball into the South Campus of the ESPN parking lot, if I got a good roll after hitting ground. I should just run a coax cable into their lobby and hook it you my router. LOL There are people on our hood who work there, I should just hack their houses. Lol

    I remember when ESPN first started and aired Thursdsy night fights from Totowa, NJ, from a rink I played hockey on. They’ve grown a lot since those days, and I do miss their billiard coverage - I love billiards. But these days they’re hurting a little.

    Not sure we are still learning the capabilities ... my wife loves her some HGTV .. HULU News block has Fox, CNN, CNNBUS, C NBC, thevthree network news, PLUS. I pick up BBC on Amazon. I got hooked on BBC via short wave radio as a kid because my dad listened to it. BBC is one of my News also on my iPad.

    HGTV, My dear departed Terri loved watching Trading Spaces. I only liked it when Genivieve was on. She’d roll over in her grave right now if she knew Tai (sp?) was gay.

    All cable providers ate way too expensive and add more fees and taxes than anyone can imagine.I NEVER receive two months bills that are for the exact same amount,they only always seem to go up.I have the triple play ,phone,internet and cable package.
