Is this a sign of things to come? http://pagesix.com/2013/11/26/msnbc-fires-alec-baldwin/ What I find most interesting is that it wasn't NBC that decided to drop the boom on Baldwin but Comcast. After Comcast bought NBC from GE they have pretty much had a hands off approach. Remember NBC news espically MSNBC was set up to serve GEs interests. They give millions of dollars in free advertising to the democrats and GE gets billions in subsidies especially in green energy. Ratings, profit and reputation were secondary concerns. IMHO its major that Comcast would step in and directly drop the boom on an MSNBC propagandist circumventing the NBC hierarchy which still works on the GE model. Is this a sign of things to come. Will Comcast start forcing NBC and especially MSNBC to start worrying about things like ratings, profit, and reputation? Only time will tell.
Alec Baldwin is like many, he thinks he can do anything he wants. If you are made of money and famous generally you can. I never watched his show.
Good lord you act as if he is the first celebrity who thinks they are god's gift to the world. Trust me there are way bigger (*)(*)(*)(*)(*)(*)(*)s than him, and many of them don't even deserve the attention as the asset they think they are.
Baldwin gets the boot for being an (*)(*)(*)(*)(*)(*)(*) to fellow workers and Bashir gets.....well....nothing.... for his scum filled rant against Palin. But it's NBC, they're nothing but a DNC mouth piece anyway, so ......"F" NBC....they're basically a cesspool of progressives all trying to out do each other. It was dark day when they purchased the Golf Channel.....it won't take long for them to ruin it, too.
This is political forum. I don't really give a (*)(*)(*)(*) about Baldwin. What I do care about in the story is the the decision came from Comcast directly. If Comcast starts dismantling the GE model then the democrats are in big trouble as they will loose all the free advertising they had at NBC. This could have huge political ramifications.
