Comer has egg on his face after this debacle.

    https://www.mediaite.com/news/comer...shell-indictment-they-should-feel-like-fools/

Kentucky Republican Congressman and Chairman of the House Oversight Committee James Comer lashed out at MSNBC for “making fun of me” about a missing whistleblower just days before the man was charged as a spy for China, saying they ought to feel like “fools.”

News broke Monday that think tank honcho Gal Luft — a key witness for Comer’s investigations into President Joe Biden, his son Hunter Biden, and others — was indicted for, among other things, acting as an unregistered agent for China.

On Thursday night’s edition of Newsmax TV’s Rob Schmitt Tonight, on the verge of that indictment, Comer lashed out in a manner that turned out to be whatever the opposite of prescient is, extolling Luft’s credibility and taunting his critics on MSNBC as “fools”:

ROB SCHMITT: Congressman James Comer joins me now. Sir, good to have you back on. Tell us about this man. The Post describes him as well-connected in intelligence circles in Washington, D.C., where he ran a think tank, the Institute for the Analysis of Global Security, with former CIA Director James Woolsey and former national security adviser Robert McFarlane as advisors. That’s who this man is. He’s not just some weird guy that popped up out of nowhere.

REP. COMER: No, he’s very credible, and the people on MSNBC who made fun of me when I said we had an informant that was missing. They should feel like fools right now.

And this is their worst nightmare because, again, this is a credible witness that the FBI flew all the way to Brussels to interview and sent several agents to interview. This is someone that knew about CFC in detail long before the laptop ever became public. So we feel that this is a very credible witness.

We feel that this is someone that we need to talk to in our investigation, someone we will communicate with in our investigation. We’re going to request the notes from the FBI meeting from the FBI. That is forthcoming. We want to know why the FBI has never made public this interview.

Watch above via Newsmax TV’s Rob Schmitt Tonight.

The R House is just doing the "Steve Bannon" playbook, just keep flooding the media zone with **** everyday, all day and they will be forced to cover it and when the B/S is exposed as fake, just flood the media zone with more ****.....it works for the R base.

How does it follow that because he's been arrested, congress can no longer use him as a witness? Alleged criminals, and convicted, incarcerated criminals are often allowed to testify in court. If Comer wants to talk to the guy, I'm sure arrangements can be made.

Newsmax is trying to make something out of nothing, and they've obviously got you convinced.

That's not my claim. It's that he's not credible.

Hunter never registered as an agent of a foreign principle. He should be charged exactly as Gal Luft is being charged.... But they won't.. because they are silencing any investigation. Only difference than what the mob does, is that mob places their victims at the bottom of Lake Mead.

Seems to me that the answer to that question is - of course not.... Because then he'd be under oath and couldn't repeat his BS....

This guy not being available is quite probably the best thing that's happened to Comer all year...

Quite possibly the funniest request I've ever seen from Congress, in Raskins letter to Comer yesterday

    SNIP
Raskin and Goldman asked Comer to investigate whether he’d been “duped” by Luft and to provide Democrats with any material he’d received from the fugitive self-styled whistleblower.

“It appears as if Mr. Luft sought ‘whistleblower’ status from you in an effort to defend himself from criminal prosecution while a fugitive from justice,” Raskin and Goldman wrote. “Worse yet, this latest episode also raises concerns that Mr. Luft may be manipulating your investigation not only for his own self-interest but perhaps also in furtherance of the CCP’s efforts to undermine U.S. security interests and the President of the United States.”
    ENDSNIP

    https://www.yahoo.com/news/jamie-raskin-rips-republicans-hyping-150001607.html

I'm sure Comer will be rushing off to investigate how stupid/corrupt he really is....

Nope. Once again, Trumpers like to make allegations, but come up woefully short when it comes to proof.

    "Daily Caller"? LOL!

A Trump appointee conducted a 5 year investigation.

Is he a spy, or an agent for a foreign country? Can't be both.

You don't have to register as a foreign agent just because you are doing business with stakeholders in a foreign country.

Your MSN will never cover such a story. And they are charging Luft for exactly what Hunter did. It's literal hypocrisy at it's finest.

He was on the board of a Chinese government run energy firm that he even lobbied for cobalt ...

He literally meets all these criteria!
Pursuant to 22 U.S.C. 611(c), an “agent of a foreign principal” is “any person who acts as an agent, representative, employee, or servant, or any person who acts in any other capacity at the order, request, or under the direction or control, of a foreign principal or of a person any of whose activities are directly or indirectly supervised, directed, controlled, financed, or subsidized in whole or in major part by a foreign principal,” who does any of the following:

If you guys would spend as much time and energy on solving real world issues versus continuing to try and defend the actions of this corrupt family.. some real good could happen.

With Joe Biden so deep into the pockets of the Communist Chinese party what the hell did you expect?

Certainly not some corn-fed strapping young lad from Nebraska.

You could have saved yourself a lot of embarrassment by reading the first bullet point in your own link.
    • Hunter Biden's investment firm partnered with a Chinese company to buy the world's larges cobalt mine from an American company in 2016
An American company. American. Company. Not the government. A private company. So you either didn't read your link, you didn't read the post of mine you quoted, or you don't know what "lobbying" is and don't understand that you business deals with private companies do not require registering as a foreign agent. Or perhaps some combination of all of the above.
