They don't have to answer questions for something everyone (except maybe you) knows. If they did spy on Americans, it would be illegal.

There is no difference other than the identities of those being blamed.

Donna Brazile giving questions in advance to Hillary.

The DNC Memos about Sanders and what to do to impede his chances.

These are examples of exactly what the bolded says. Trying to hurt one candidate to help the other. If your side really believes in the sanctity of our election process, you should stop chasing the hypothetical Russians and penalize the proven cheats...the Democrat party.

But of course no one is talking about them, instead choosing to follow the Russian headfake and forget what they actually saw.

What does everyone in America know? Is it that that Trump Towers was wiretapped. Or is it that Under Trump everyone in America is going to get great health insurance? Or is it that 3 million illegals voted for Hillary? Or is it that The Trump Organization colluded with Russia to get Trump elected.

Or is it that Trump has mental problems which everyone in America knows including myself.

Michael Moore: Dems Should Declare 'National Emergency' Over Trump-Russia Probe

Filmmaker and activist Michael Moore is calling on the Democratic Party to declare a "national emergency" over the revelation that the FBI is investigating possible "coordination" between President Trump's campaign and Russia.

"For the first time in our history, the president of the United States and his staff are under investigation for espionage," Moore wrote in an Instagram post.

He said that this is a "shock to our democracy," and Democratic lawmakers must take appropriate steps.

"The Democratic leadership in the House and Senate needs to bring a halt to all business being done in the name of this potential felony suspect, Donald J. Trump," Moore wrote.

He said that no bill Trump supports and no Supreme Court nominee he has named should be decided while he is under a "criminal investigation."

"Fellow citizens, demand the Democrats cease all business," Moore said.

He concluded his post with a Richard Nixon quote: "The American people have a right to know if their president is a crook."

Let us know what you think in the comments, and see Moore explain why he thinks Trump colluded with Russia.

It's the DNC...not the Hillary campaign Mello. The DNC which offered up more than one candidate to the people...but made sure behind the scenes only one was going to get there. Too bad for those people who chose option B. Unbeknownst to them, that candidate wouldn't have a shot.

This is doing exactly what those on the left want to act concerned about, but with Russia as the villain "over there". The villain apparently, is right here.

The parties can pick their candidate how they see fit. Nobody is claiming they broke the law.

They were doing exactly what I quoted in the bolded. Either those kind of actions are ok, or they are not. It shouldn't change depending on who we are talking about. The sanctity of our electoral process right Mello?

Primaries are not democratic or part of the electoral process. They don't have to have them at all.

The party will (already did?) pay for running a shitty primary. But they'll pay politically.

The investigation will proceed, but this has been going on for nearly ten months already, if there is a "smoking gun" it must be something very carefully hidden or there really isn't not much there to begin with.

I would note the investigators are strongly motivated and during most of their efforts operated with complete impunity, wholeheartedly supported by both the Obama administration and Hillary's network of well-connected influencers, and they had the support of a very friendly press. With nothing to show for it yet, one grows weary of these old and rehashed suggestions from unclear sources.

Moreover, for every encounter with a Russian ambassador or other Kremlin figure by some Trump supporting villan on his team, we know of a couple of them on hers. That uranium deal with the Russians Hillary was directly involved in and plainly profited from is much more questionable than anything derived from speculative rumination over Tillerson's pre-sanction dealings with Gazprom for Arctic oil exploration.

The upshot is a bunch of die-hard Democrats pointing accusatory fingers at Trump convinced it is obvious he's been bought and paid for while their Republican counterparts are doing the same about Hillary and her team.

Inexplicably nobody seems too concerned the Obama administration deployed government resources to spy on a political opponent.

“I RECOMMEND READING THIS CLOSELY, LOOKING FOR THE WEASEL WORDS:” The NYT struggles to fight off Trump’s use of that NYT headline “Wiretapped data used in inquiry of Trump aides.”

Liu writes that Trump was “misleading” to say that the Times said that “wiretap data” was “used in inquiry of Trump aides.” “Misleading” is NOT the same as false, so Liu really is admitting that it was true. The reason it’s misleading, according to Liu, is that the article doesn’t say that “Mr. Obama ordered surveillance on him.” Did Trump say Obama ordered surveillance on him? There’s no Trump quote to that effect, and it makes me suspicious that Trump is being paraphrased to confine him to what can be refuted, which — talk about misleading! — feels very misleading.

It’s been hard for the press to pivot directly from Leaked Wiretaps Show Trump’s a Putin Stooge all the way to Wiretaps? What wiretaps?

    Plus:

That sounds like a concession that Flynn was wiretapped! He may not have been the original target or the official target, but he got swept in, and we shouldn’t even know about that. But there was a leak, and wasn’t the leak targeted on him — a gross violation of law designed to take him down? I can’t believe we’re nitpicking Trump’s use of the term “wiretapped” rather than outraged about a shocking abuse of power for political purposes.

Well, that’s how they try to distract people. And:

Many words are dead metaphors, and “wiretapped” may be one, whether it’s in quotes or not. Who cares if there were “wires” that were “tapped”? It’s like looking for eaves when someone is said to be eavesdropping. I think the stress on the word “wiretapped” is part of an effort to say that some other party was targeted — some foreign official was listened in on — and that caused the overhearing of some Trump-associated persons. There was a wiretap, but the wires tapped (metaphorically) were not a Trump associate’s.

But to use that opportunity — that wiretap — to listen in is a terrible infringement on the non-target, and the law required the protection of these non-targets from an invasion of their privacy. Instead, the leakers did the opposite and took advantage of what they heard and deliberately exposed what they were legally required to mask. That’s what I gather from Liu’s article anyway.

Why doesn’t the NYT care about this problem!

Because it would hurt the narrative.

There is also considerable concern over the disclosure of the names of the wiretapping subject's citizen interlocutors.

Mr. Nunes raised the point that when a legitimately wiretapped foreigner is called or calls a US citizen, the transcript of their intercepted conversation is supposed to mask the identity of the citizen with something like "US citizen x" rather than specify his name.

Apparently there are only about 20 members of the intelligence community authorized to identify masked US citizens whose communications with a foreign wiretapped target get intercepted.

In the matter of Mr. Flynn, he was identified by name as a citizen communicating with the Russian ambassador, the disclosure of Mr. Flynn's name was allegedly not authorized by any of the 20 capable of doing so.

In Mr. Flynn's case it is obvious his identity was unlawfully disclosed specifically to harm Trump, such machinations are intolerable in legitimate government. The intelligence community shouldn't be involved in this stuff, it is dangerous and not healthy for representative system of government.

If it wouldn't cast a terrible cloud over what surely will become an interminable investigation, Trump should completely overhaul the entire intelligence community. No doubt lefties would claim any such efforts are aimed at thwarting the perpetual investigation.

Fine. Then the 20 largest circulation newspapers that endorsed a candidate can be called MSM. None endorsed Trump. All but 2 endorsed Hillary. Thus the feeling by Trump supporters that the MSM in general functions as a Democratic mouthpiece, Not too mention CNN and MSNBC. Major networks like ABC, CBS and NBC are more complicit by ignoring stories that favor Trump

Why did Comey state strongly that he wouldn't investigate the leakers, only to later say he'd take it "very seriously"? Those words were incredibly profound and troubling and suggested that the FBI would not look into its own. With Nunes stating that the FBI wasn't cooperating, it leads to further credence of my own theory. Comey's doublespeak works against him when people actually listen.

CNN: We Can Confirm That New Information About Russia-Trump Ties Being Analyzed By The FBI Is Inconclusive ....

It’s the Russian dossier all over again. Remember this awesome update from CNN on that massive pile of unsubstantiated gossip back in February. The dossier purportedly contained compromising information about Donald Trump’s personal and financial life [emphasis mine]:

So, Russians talked to other Russians, but we don’t know what they talked about. Now, the network is reporting that there’s new information about Trump associates having contact with suspected Russian operatives that point to collusion regarding the release of damaging information about Hillary Clinton. They added that it’s still inconclusive, but the FBI is combing through it. In other words, there’s no evidence of collusion (via CNN)[emphasis mine]:

[The FBI cannot yet prove that collusion took place, but the information suggesting collusion is now a large focus of the investigation, the officials said.]

As for the other meetings that we’ve obsessed with over the past few weeks, they appear to be with the Russian Ambassador Sergey Kislyak, who was doing his job meeting with aides of someone who could be the next president of the United States. The Russian ambassador probably also met with members of Clinton's campaign during the election. Do we have to be careful what will happen when we show them the Queen of Diamonds? There was nothing wrong with any of the meetings Trump aides had with the Russian ambassador. Senate Democrats have admitted that they’ll probably find zero evidence that Russia and the Trump campaign colluded during the 2016 election. We’re still in our original position, which is the news media and the Democrats (now totally scared of Russia), engaging in neo-McCarthyite antics in their crusade to find a link between the two camps......snip~

Yep.....playing the Russian card is really going to backfire on the Demos and their Cult members. Good Times.

This is why we need a special investigation. The FBI is obviously compromised and political at this point, and I don't trust any of those congressional hacks, 2/3rds of which with their own separate agendas against the POTUS.

Russian collusion has been ruled out and the real issue is how Obama abused his Executive powers and spied on American citizens both before, during the election and afterwards as well.

Someone will go to jail for this.

James Comey, I expect to fired any day now as we find he was covering up facts and burying intel that exposes the former Administration.

It gets worse for the FBI and Comey as he plods along.

Potential 'smoking gun' showing Obama administration spied on Trump team, source says.....

Classified intelligence showing incidental collection of Trump team communications, purportedly seen by committee Chairman Devin Nunes, R-Calif., and described by him in vague terms at a bombshell Wednesday afternoon news conference, came from multiple sources, Capitol Hill sources told Fox News. The intelligence corroborated information about surveillance of the Trump team that was known to Nunes, sources said, even before President Trump accused his predecessor of having wiretapped him in a series of now-infamous tweets posted on March 4.

The intelligence is said to leave no doubt the Obama administration, in its closing days, was using the cover of legitimate surveillance on foreign targets to spy on President-elect Trump, according to sources.

The key to that conclusion is the unmasking of selected U.S. persons whose names appeared in the intelligence, the sources said, adding that the paper trail leaves no other plausible purpose for the unmasking other than to damage the incoming Trump administration......snip~
