    Mental health is part of it. I think it’s because there’s been increased media coverage which have made it more appeal to the unstable. Then on top of that no rational solutions have been discussed or if they have never actually acted upon. Increased security in all schools would be a start.

    I believe it is more due to armchair psychologists in the classroom that don't want to deal with kids. So they push parents to put them on Ritalin or other drugs so that they don't have to work with kids being kids. We've told several teachers to piss off when they suggested that our kids were too hyperactive or didn't pay attention in class.
