Nestora Salgado has been imprisoned in Mexico for over 2 years, based on dubious charges of kidnapping. The community group to which she belonged believes that her imprisonment is political retaliation because of her group's uncovering of ties between corrupt government officials and drug trafficking organizations.

There has been no trial, and the community group says a fair hearing has never even been held.
