    I think he meant to protest against these awards because it incites that the NRA and conservatives committed an act of war and terrorism ... which they did and do ... as evident by the NRA Annual Convention ...

    Where Lapierre in fact said or alluded too *We are at War* (against government / Obama and Libs)

    I'm very familiar with US Flag code...

    Where exactly would the problem be?

    There are several people who can order the US Flag to be flown at half staff...

    In this instance, President Obama ordered that the US Flag be flown at half staff to honor the victims of the Boston Marathon bombing...

    I found the proclaimation for Boston but not for Sany Hook.
    Flags in Florida were at Half staff the next day and I dont remember our govenor do it.

    Alright, that explains it then. (I'm relieved to learn the MOH is not being watered-down -- yet.) I understand the civilian medals will be presented by military, or former military people who have actually been awarded the Medal of Honor. Thanks for the clarification.

    The Medal of Honor should only be awarded to military folks who have displayed heroism in battle. However, there should be one exception: Our Obama should receive one for the unique, heroic contributions and personal sacrifices he has made for this nation.

    Note: The Medal of Honor. The popular misconception is that this medal is the "Congressional" Medal of Honor. Actually, it's the Medal of Honor -- not the Congressional Medal of Honor.
