I think they're a bit overzealous myself...I think act for America borders on fear-mongering, though I understand their concerns and at a basic level think they are legitimate.
The president of Act for America is Brigitte Gabriel. She has written 2 New York Times best-sellers. If you read her book "They Must Be Stopped", I think you will find it very informative, and will cure any thoughts you had about fear-mongering.
