I vote none of the above. I think we should have a three year moratorium on all immigration and re-educate the population. Not everyone that enters the United States wants NOR should become a citizen. Let the Dreamers stay, but NO automatic path to citizenship. People can come and go without becoming citizens.

OTOH, I see nothing wrong with reviewing the criteria for each category of legal immigrants. IN fact, your criteria are somewhat less stringent than ours. Illegals should be deported. E verify enforcement sounds like a good idea. Dreamers should have a path to citizenship. and border security should be enhanced. We encourage chain migration - they all gotta meet the vetting criteria but may be excused from certain requirements depending on relationship to the immigrant. We have a robust refugee program. We have illegal immigrants who don't walk across the border but arrive by plane train ship and automobile. They come as visitors and overstay. Some are even criminals. We accept the few bad for the many good. We get pissed at the multiple deportees, but instead of excoriating everyone that looks like the scumbag, we blame the scumbag and the government. And as far as Canada not being great, you obviously don't live here. And never mistake my intent for simple bigotry like others you seem to be so familiar with. I slander/excoriate/ridcule and otherwise am obnoxious to the subjects of my bigotries. I believe in do unto others and they do unto others. Can you figure out the implications of that tenet?
