I think he started out with the best of intentions as a patriot but subsequently literally went mad with power. To a greater or lesser degree it can happen to anyone.

Liberals won't admit this, but a lot of their ideas are very similar to those held by Adolf Hitler. Many of them, including nearly all the leftists on this site, support gun control, Islam, the Palestinian cause, government "stimulus" of the economy through heavy borrowing, abortion (especially for the lower classes), and censorship of views they don't like. So my question to you is, what did Hitler do that's so different from YOUR beliefs? Why can't we compare liberals to Nazi Germany? The parallels can't be denied.

That Hitler was a wannabe tyrant BEFORE he gained power was obvious to many Germans, especially the politicians in the opposing parties.

I notice you didn't address the parallels. And I've said it before and I'll say it again: a) Trump supporters are NOT conservatives; b) Neo-Nazis are not conservatives because conservatives oppose state power while Nazis want government to have dictatorial powers. Liberals are much more like Nazis in that regard. This is part of the problem with the left, they lump everyone they disagree with into the "Nazi" camp. Even extreme feminists Cassie Jaye and Laci Green have been labelled Nazis for venturing outside the leftist circle.
